@428ranger Doesn't seem like overkill to me if you're riding 20 miles from the nearest pavement and 100 or more miles from a hospital or moto shop. Unless you're the type of rider who never falls or has mechanical issues. Would you ride in shorts and t-shirt, with maybe a roll of duct tape and a coat hanger in your pocket?
The amount of gear I see guys overload themselves with in colorado never ceases to amaze me.
