  • Fuckin' Larry: How did you react all the attentions?

    Michelle: I think it's wonderful!

    Fuckin' Larry: Even the bad?

Michelle: Well .. [...] I don't know.. I don't know what you are talking about

Give that bastard what he fuckin' deserves!!

  • btw who gives a crap if the actors are gay or straight. i bet he nearly had an anurism when brokeback mountain came out.

  • it's funny to go back and watch this now.actualy robert came out during the filming of the show. larry king makes me mad but i think they all handeled him pretty well.

  • why is the focus on whether the actors/actresses are gay or not? we are totally ignore the impact of the show it is making on the community, how itz creating awareness and hopefully understanding.

  • -He's also a straight man..

    -And not a lesbian.

Lol! Scott Lowell is awesome! He's like Ted but more open and cool. They all are awesome :)

  • FUCK U LARRY KIING..why do u fuckin keep asking..are u feel comfortable..!!!! as if they were having intense moments with some animals..!!!!!!

  • @santom13 Lol! you're right :) I mean, it's not that terrible. I'm a straight girl but if I was an actor and had to do a love scene with a woman, it wouldn't be uncofortable. Like it's not the same if they do it with the opposite sex while they have no feelings for eachother. And after all, they're actors, their job is to play some different people. I hate Larry King, too. He's so stuck and close-minded and a homophobic. He also seems to be very mean.

  • Robert Gant explained it perfectly. Acting is acting.

  • How anyone can see Lindsay's eyes when she looks at Melanie and critique the show for not having enough depth is an IDIOT.

  • Larry King! What is wrong with you????????

  • I really like the name "Thea Gill" :) it sounds so poethic. And she's an awesome woman (all of the cast are!). Stupid Larry...

  • Thea is airing out the merchandise.

Larry would get a heart attack from that cleavage, if his 1000 year eyes could actually see.

  • robert is awesome seriously lol

  • fucking larry "subject is Queer as Folk and naturally lesbians play a past as well" so rude! so homophobic!

  • God Larry King is such a cunt.

He must have already had dementia in 2002, as he keeps forgetting that he's asking the same question over and over again, and acting like a cranky old coot.

  • Labeling people as straight or gay is so rode. I'm a Jewish straight woman and LOVED the show!!!! amazing show, amazing actors.

  • Me encanta como habla Thea. Tiene una voz que ahh~~ me calma..

  • isn't Thea bi?

  • Robert was in the closet at this time but is now out maybe it's time for Gale.

  • @Jakeexmvs Gale is actually straight ,he have a girlfriend

  • @myshalafi171 Allegedly. Has anyone seen this mythical girlfriend?

Lol, in all seriousness, I have no doubt he's mostly straight, but there are rumours...

  • @disamjisa yes her name is Yara some people saw them walking together in the street in Vancouver.

  • @myshalafi171 Haha some people saw them walking together in a street in Vancouver? That's the evidence he's straight?

Honestly, I don't doubt he's primarily heterosexual, but walking down the street with a woman is hardly compelling.

  • @disamjisa It's not an evidence that he's straight, but they looked very close they hugged each other, I use to thought the he's bi but now it's official, He prefers women.

  • OMG Larry king needs to suck a dick. Sorry I watched this.

  • @krazy5473 He's such a dumbass. Did you notice how tense and unpatient he is in that video? Asshole, that's what he iss. An old asshole, stuck in the irrational discriminations of his time. The kind of old man none should be. God bless the open mind old people! Not his case...

  • Wow, I had no idea Larry King was such an asshole.

  • Was this when Robert was still in the closet?

  • The same questions (like 3 or 4) for everyone, and he ask the same questions again and again but just in other words..it's like explaining it to a kid or something, with the diference that a kid just wants to know and this sick zombie is a perve and is hating them in their faces...

The cast couldn't be any better <3

  • Why am I the only one who thinks he isn't rude? I think maybe because I'm the only one thinking 'oh, he's like, seventy fucking years-old, he has no idea how the gay community is like now.'

  • @NaughtyKagome Impoliteness born from ignorance is still impolite. And I wouldn't be offended by it or find it annoying if he wasn't so damn repetitive about it. A few off-color questions coming from a man who obviously has no working knowledge of modern gay culture is one thing, but this entire interview is a testament to Larry King's irrelevance.

  • @PrayerBeforeBirth Maybe I'm a bit innocent when it comes to people being 'impolite'. The only two times I found him EXTREMELY rude was when he cut that woman off, and when he said to Peter his character was I think 'spoofy' I forget the word exactly, but it was rude. Otherwise, I was having a hard time finding him rude. Again, it may be my innocence @.@

  • @NaughtyKagome

you might need to watch it again. i notice he pays closer attention to the straight actors than the gays. he also tends to cut off the gay ones more and quickly move onto the next question. he moves on quicker when they express no issue with homosexuality. he's being both subtly and outwardly rude and it's disgusting.

  • @ArcticSnoww You're right. I didn't notice. Again, I don't search for those sort of things, so it may have been my innocence in watching the interview. Or the fact I was more interested in the actors than him.

  • "Did it feel different?" what a perve...

  • Larry King is really annoying!

  • He is so fucking rude.

  • Fucking rude bastard! ".. Are you inlove with Michelle now?..."

  • Well done for asking the exact same question over and over again Larry. Top notch interview work. *sarcasm*

  • Tsk tsk. Terrible interview.

  • its getting on my nerves how larry is always asking the same question D:<

  • I am SO glad this man is off the air

  • It's such a shame that Mr King is such a douchebag. They are all so adorable and making jokes and punchlines and he just ignores everything. And how he cut off that first caller who just praised the cast, really classy... -_-

  • Thea gill also is acting like a pure straight woman... in this interview..

  • At this time, Robert did not yet come out, right? He just pretended to be a straight guy... sad. he is lying.

  • I'm so glad Robert Gant is gay

  • the thing says "Queer as Folk immoral or harmless?"... immoral for who?

  • Thea Gill is amazing. <3

  • Its really quite funny how Larry King seems to be looking for difficulties for straight actors playing gay and they all just say ''what are you talking about, its called acting?'' Its not weird its wonderful.

  • I just have to say, [and I know it sounds ridiculous], but I don't think I would be as much of an activist for gay rights if I hadn't watch QaF and The L Word. Because when you watch these shows, you become so completely immersed in them and the labels just come away and you forget that there is a "straight world" and a "gay world". All you pay attention to is love and relationships because that's all that matters. And I think that's the biggest combatant against homophobia and ignorance.

  • @DizzyDior12 Im in complete agreement, I mean I was nevr against gay people, Ive grown up with gay friends and my mum ha always had gay friends but until watchign this show I would never have gotta angry at watchign someone like Larry king be such a dick. Until now it never really annoyed me that he kept going on about sexual preferences despite havign friends who are gay, So I knwo wat you mean! x

  • @DizzyDior12 beautifully said

  • Teddy!

  • Larry King is such a FUCKING asshole. He has asked the same question like 500 times.

  • actually robert gant is gay - larry king got it wrong ¬¬

  • @GaaraSabuka he wasn;t out at the time

  • @GaaraSabuka At this point he was 'straight' to the public. ^^

  • @GaaraSabuka Robert had not come out yet at this point professionally. For once, Larry was correct about something! I say, "So long Loopy Larry!" He could've created a fantastic interview, but instead chose to focus on some very unimportant issues. This interview was years ago & he was out of touch then; he should've gotten sh*t canned before this interview even took place!!

  • larry king is a goddamn dinosaur and closeted fag. i would think a man of his "international" stature would ask a little more thoughtful and intelligent questions other than the shock of straights acting gay. who cares. idiot.

  • Ted is "a" gay?

  • acting is acting, gay or straihght or lesbian character!!!

  • larry king should die! he is a homophobic asshole

  • @TheChrischi1981 he definitely should fuckin die..who wants to see that ass face with fucing 100 meters lensed eye glasses..even a bling old lady wont say yes to his sex offer..!!! HE FUCKING DESERVES TO DIE..!!!!

  • Wow, I am shocked. Michelle (Melanie) is so tough-like on the show, I always thought I wouldn't want to go up against her in real life and always loved how rough she'd be to Brian. But in RL the actress is very soft and feminine. Definitely top notch acting of the actress and makes me feel she should have won an Emmy for her role. She's one of my most favorite characters on the show! And finally seeing how the actress is in real life some makes me like her even more.

  • Larry King is just a homophobic jerk. He keeps asking ALL the cast members if they felt 'uncomfortable' playing their parts in the show, because he's desperate for one of them to say 'yes, this was the biggest challenge, I wish I hadn't done because it was impossible to act and made me physically ill.' His questions and his remarks are boring and dull and just plain rude. He cuts across the actors, gets their names and their characters names wrong and focuses too much on his own opinions. JERK

  • isn't thea bi?

and gotta say again - larry is an asshole.

  • @black4dahlia

I'm not positive, but yeah, I think Thea is bi.

  • Tea is really beautiful.

  • What part of the definition of "actor" does Larry King not understand. These actors will not wake up with a changed sexual orientation after doing a love scene. Will he ask an actor/actress who played a drug addict if they're now going through withdrawl symptoms? His questions reek of homophobia. >:(

  • Just a note, but Robert is actually gay. He just wasn't out at this time, apparently.

And yes, Larry is an asshole.

  • @FallenAngelofTime ok thanx i was confused for a second cuz im like"wait he IS gay" lol

  • The women handle Larry's rudeness well..

His.. dickheadness pisses me off so badly. Someone should have put him straight..

  • Oh, and I love thea's face when he gets the name of her character wrong.

  • Wait... I'm confused. had Robert not come out before this interview, or just come out, or what? was Larry just slow on the uptake? I know he came out sometime while they were filming, I just don't know when.

  • @SerenityLuvr: He hadn't come out yet, I'm pretty sure. It's obvious he's uncomfortable being called straight, though xD

  • Larry King is making is seem as if it's such a different thing whether someone is male or female. It's a little sexist in my opinion. Either way the actors don't like those people, so it doesn't matter what sex they are. I'm straight but to me kissing a guy I don't know is the same as kissing a girl I don't know because I don't like or trust either, so it's the same; well maybe except that like the woman who plays Lindsey said, girls kiss gentler, haha.

  • Oh my god the woman who plays Mel looks so different with that haircut and the make up. I didn't recognize her until she smiled!

  • i don't think his constant remindings of their sexual preferences has something to deal with biased attitude. At least in this very programme. It is what I'm also interested in, I mean which one of them is straight or gay and how straight ones deal with such controversial scenes. It's an intriguing issue, to my mind. Although it is felt that the presenter is more likely not to be in favour of gay people, in this very case he mentions their orientation quite by right

  • I love all the actors (even Hal, Peter, Randy and Gale) all making fun of Larry at some point.

  • I think part of why Larry makes a big deal because media wanted to know. Everyone wanted to believe that Gale and Randy had an off screen romance (I know, I was among them), however, that's totally romantic thinking, and often doesn't happen. I'll also agree that Larry is an asshole and makes way to big a deal about it, say it once, be done with it. One last comment, I know Gale and Randy wanted each other as Brian and Justin and remained best friends after the show ended.

  • i'd really love to sit and watch this whole interview but Larry King's homophobia makes me cringe so much!

  • larry king sounds like he just really wished the interview was over.

  • I also think that Thea has said that she's pretty much bisexual since this inter view :/

  • Larry King is a homophobic prick, as Debbie Novotny would say that!

  • Robert wasn´t out yet I think in 2002

  • i think Larry King is homophobic. just the way he talks about the show and say gay this and that. Geez man take a break. QAF is inspirational and Larry is just an ass

  • Larry King emphasized too much on the sex. It was NOT like that!!! The show is so much deeper than sex!

  • im srry but there are not straight lmao...anybody that has it in them to kiss and do what they do they are either gay or bi.

  • @TBAKC Just because you're so homophobic that you can't believe that someone could find it in themselves to portray a gay person without actually being gay doesn't mean that they're lying about their sexuality. It's not black and white. Just because someone plays a murderer on a show doesn't mean they're a muderer in real life, and just because someone plays an angel on the TV doesn't mean they're the same way without the script.

  • @melanieinuyasha ok first of all look at my fucking profile im fucking not a homophob. i love gay ppl and i am dating a bisexual guy who agrees with me on what im saying. so get your fucking facts straight before you say shit thats not even true dumb ass

  • @MikeThrillsMe and i love brian and justin i made videos on them so how you ganna say im a homophob.

  • @MikeThrillsMe ok first of all look at my fucking profile im fucking not a homophob. i love gay ppl and i am dating a bisexual guy who agrees with me on what im saying. so get your fucking facts straight before you say shit thats not even true dumb ass

  • @MikeThrillsMe What an eloquent response? I especially enjoyed the part where you were swearing (you know, the whole thing.) Is your bisexual boyfriend, by chance, an actor? Also, just because you're not a homophobe doesn't mean that an actor can't portray something they're not. What about actors who are gay that portray straight people? Would you ever see them in a sex scene and think "Oh, they HAVE to be straight, or else they wouldn't be PAID to do this"?

  • @melanieinuyasha I actually thought Gale Harold was gay for a really long time because of how well he portrayed Brian on the show. I think just goes to show acting is just acting.

  • larry king is a fag.

  • yeah robert, "whats the hardest part about playing a gay man"

    lolololololol

  • I love Robert's responses because they're so true and honest but is it just me or does he look kind of sad at 5:11? I wonder if that's because he hadn't come out at this point? This was such a great cast and a great show and I hate how Larry is practically badgering them, especially Thea.

  • God, he's asking the same questions over and over... I wonder if he's asking out of morbid curiosity or something, because it looks like he's giving too much importance to the fact that they're straight people playing gay roles. Seriously, get over it!

  • WAIT, so on QAF they actually had sex? it was real? or was it fake?

  • @kyetra1 it was fake...it's not porn

  • @kyetra1 seriously? fake. If it was real sex, the show would be porn. And for real life, they have made it all a bit too easy and neat.

  • um isnt Robert Gay? lol

  • ye he is but he hadnt come out at the time <3

  • @MsPoppi90 i love robert <3 he is so secksi x3

  • Whatever his personal feelings (negative or positive) as a journalist and a presenter SURELY he could have come up with some varying questions - none of them found it THAT difficult playing gay characters; new question please...

  • and it;s just like Robert said - gay actors have played straight characters for ages.

  • I feel like the producers of the Larry King show were punishing him by putting such a gay issue on the table.

    LOVE QAF

Love that Gant has come out aaagggessss ago

  • larry king from words of Meanie Marcus : "O stick dick in it." lol

  • I think we have to go easy on Larry. He comes from a generation where virtually NOBODY was out and nobody said ANYTHING good about gay people.

Yeah, he asks simplistic questions but I guess that's always been his appeal. It's not Charlie Rose. Most people find Charlie Rose too dry even though I'm sure Rose could do so much a better job.

  • Robert Gant is soooo frikkin hot.

  • like larry said to thea, "i assume you like men". why would anyone just assume that? gaaaah

  • ok, seriously. what does it matter if you're gay or straight? does your sexuality make you a different person? no! wtf. if the show was about straight people noone would ask the actors if they were gay or straight. i just hate the fact that people assume you're straight unless you've told them otherwise.

  • omg i want robert gant to marry me, lol.

  • Robert Gan is my boyfriend jajajaja

  • Robert Gant is so handsome!!

  • JESUS... LARRY KING, FUCKING GET OVER THE FACT THAT SOME OF THE ACTORS ARE GAY, AND SOME ARE STRAIGHT. WHO ACTUALLY CARES????

love queer as folk, btw. :D

  • well it sounds like stiff straight Larry needs some stiff gay action to loosen/open up a bit

  • @tubie33 HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • This interview is so disappointing to watch. There are so many interesting questions he could have asked, so many things id líke to know and he just keeps asking how could they play a gay character being straight,if it was difficult to kiss a person of the same sex. Obviously he has a problem with it because if not, he wouldnt be so obssessed with that question.

  • @Innershadow5 I think it's not just him but many many people that are obsessed with that question. I too was curious as of how straight actors had the guts and open mind enough to play such important roles. Though of course he's pressing hard on it cause I bet any magazines would be filled with interviews just asking that question. He asks every actors cause each have a different experience and feeling.

  • Wow Mel is a lot prettier with the way toned-down make-up like on the show...That lipstick is too much...

  • Thea Gill and Michelle Clunie are gorgeous!!!!!

  • it's peterson.. not patterson

  • did bobby come out after this interview??

  • yes he came out in an articel just after this - he had said he didn't want to discuss his sexuality on this show, and you can see he feels uncomfortable every time larry king calls him "a straight man"...

  • Which actor

    ?

  • Robert Gant

  • I knew it! I saw him in a Logo movie a while back. He is too gorgeous to be straight. Thanks.

  • he keeps mentioning that randy is gay and am like get fucking over it a be he hates gays and lesbians who agrees?

  • Thea Gill, what a beautiful woman!

    And Larry, what a JERK!!!

  • Larry King sucks!!!!

  • @RufusCloon Larry King sucks balls

  • Thea's so pretty

  • Larry King is an ass. He keeps asking the same question trying to get them to be contoversial.

  • really... get over the fact that the actors are straight playing gay characters, Larry. focus on the depth of the damn show!

  • I agree with you. He keeps on insisting on that. He just cannot believe these actors were so happy about the show. I'm very proud of all the cast. Throughout the whole interview, it seemed like Larry was an immature kid and the actors were in a higher level trying to ignore Larry's ignorance...

  • yeah. i admire this cast, and i think they do a fabulous job. and if this interview would stop focusing so much on the sex aspect and some of the actual STORY lines, it might be a decent Q&A

  • Does it really matter if the actors are gay or straight?

  • Here it does. The main idea is that gay and straight people are the same. And Larry King actually tries to point out out how what we see on the TV screen is different than the reality. However, he overdoes it- and end up insulting quite a lot of people. Including the actors. In addition, he does not take a look into any other of the storylines, which makes me think he has not seen a singlr episode

  • (Continued) There is also another side of the story. Robert Gant says in an interview that openly gay actors are often not offered "straight boyfriend" kind of roles. he himself admits he has passed that kind of a role after coming out. He also says that in America it is different than in Europe and that in Europe directors are more open-minded. At the end of the day - there was even an article for Gant "Robert Gant can play it straight". You draw your conclusions...

  • It does for some people apparently

  • I am sooo used to Melanie being without makeup...she looks funky with it

  • Larry King sounds like an ignorant idiot throughout the entire interview... the show isn't about straight people playing gay people, it's about the characters' lives.

  • Lol, notice when Larry called Robert Gant a straght actor and he said "Well, thats somewhat of a question now". When the show ended Robert Gant said in an interview that being on the show helped him to come out. I think that is so awesome.

  • Poor guy (Gant) had to wait to come out. Notice his facial expression when he realizes he can't agree with Larry on being strait. At this point he was thinking about coming out, but not at that time, so he had to hide it and he said that was really tough for him :(.

  • Yes, I notice also that the questions are very difficult for him. And now, knowing the whole story it is painfully obvious that he tries to be as honest as possible but to a point. I read somewhere that Gant says coming out has released an enormous amount of energy in him. BTW, he does say "The jury is still out on that one" when Larry introduces him as straight.

  • Ya, you can see if you watch him before and after, and he definatly seems way happier and more energized! He glows ^_^

  • why is larry king such a popular show?

is this how he treats all his guests or just the ones who support gay rights?

  • Yeah this is pretty much how he treats all his guests. Never have been a fan of him or his show.

  • Lol, "I'm not a lesbian"

I think Larry should just get over the "gay" people.

    PRIDE!

  • All actors look good, but Thea looks absolutely TERRIFIC!

    Love you girls!

    Mel&Linds FOREVER!

  • Thea is *radiant* :)

  • larry king is an asshole

  • @Mahadogirl he could be asking more Qs relating to the actual story, character and issues the drama deals with, but instead, he keeps repeating who's really gay or not in real life. I am disappointed with his lack of intelligent questions.

  • OMFG ... michelle is so cute ... i luv her so so much. Does anybody have an adress mail or a recent site adress where we can contact her. Please ... (est ce que quelqu'un aurait une adresse mail ou un site recent ou on pourrait la contacter ?) I'm gay and proud to be ... luv QAF and thanks for these wonderful 5 seasons ...

  • omfg larry king is soooo annoying

assuming you prefer men how was it kissing a woman

    gosh get over yourself

  • I read Thea Gill is bisexual +kinda confused+ did she come out later or what?

  • It's strange to see Robert Gant answer the question of "was it hard for you, being a straight man", when he came out later on while doing the show :)

  • Robert Gant came out afta this interview

  • REALLY!?!?!?!?!?

  • All LARRY KING Cares About i " IS IT HARD TO PLAY A LOVE SCENE?" "WHATS THE HARDEST PART?? Its asked at least ten times like thats all the interview is about thats all hes interested in!!! GET OVER IT

  • how many times can they answer the same questions?

    jeez

  • lol, "appreciating" gay people?! (is that taught in schools like Music Appreciation?)

do gay people "appreciate" straight people? who gives a crap! *eyeroll*

  • Is he ever going to get past his own narrow-mindedness and ask them a different question? It's like he's trying to get somebody to agree with him that homosexuality is unnatural or weird, simply because he can't handle it. All of the cast dealt with him brilliantly, but it's a shame they didn't get an insightful, intelligent interview. QAF is one of the best shows ever made.

  • I completely agree. After an hour of interviewing the most brilliant and talented casts ever, all we get to here is "He's gay, I'm not. No, we don't care. We're actors and we respect each other. It's been an honor to work on this project. No, I dont regret it."

  • fucking true.

  • wait Robert is gay in real life. He came out later in on after the show
