  • My dog has a toy just like that, but he hates. The lizard plays with it more than my dog does. :D

  • tug of war with GODZILLA!

  • I need to try this with my pet Bigboy,he might have a lot of fun.Bigboy is almost as big sa this lizard, but he only weighs 50 pounds.Bigboy is still the smartest lizard in the world !! Pretty cool that you can play with that lizard.

  • @bigboy3293 I second this, Bigboy is awesome!

That Komodo is smart for sure, I love the way it was playing with that toy!

I have two savs myself, check out my channel too :)

  • What a wonderful looking lizard . However, i don't like the idea of some person playing

tug - of - war with the animal . They will break its teeth. The poor animal. I hope these people gave it a piece of stake or something as it's reward after they did this.

  • I like how the girl takes over and she feels the need to put her face close to his. Captivity or not it's still a wild animal. And no venom or some a bite is a nasty bite. And they can run like a mofo

  • this is not comodo dragon . it is comodo dog !

  • Well, you guys are behind the times, as dooshsayswhat is correct. Komodo dragons have basic venom glands (like gila monsters). They aren't injected into the victim via Fangs, like venomous snakes. The venom seeps between the gums as they bite and chew. Bacteria plays an important role as well. Stop dissing.

  • It's gonna get buck teeeeth....! XD

  • It's practically a dog.

  • after seeing this video, I think I changed my opinion of Komodo dragons for something more positive in respect.

  • @Timothy2035 come on, don't be fooled bro...

  • It's not venomous in a poison sense. It's from all the bacteria in it's mouth.

  • Know why the fact that it's venemous hasn't been confirmed? It's because nothing survives a bite, and the corpse, including bones, are eaten. ALL OF THEM!

  • Google Brian Fry komodo venom and you will be overwhelmed with answers to your questions. Bacteria has nothing to do with it. Dozens of species, including the common bearded dragon are now demonstarted to be truly venomous.

  • what a wonderful creature, they are apparently highly intelligent.

  • its like a dog playing tag of war with its owner lol

  • how strong are those?anyone know.

  • It has nothing to do with bacteria. The findings of Bryan Fry, a venom researcher from the University of Melbourne found that the Komodo Dragons bite delivers a venom as toxic as the Inland Taipan, the most toxic land snake in the world. The bite decreases blood pressure, speeds up blood loss, sending it's victim in to shock. The combination of shock and blood loss proves fatal. The findings were reported in National Geographic, may 18 2009. I hope this was of some help.

  • I have a question about the animal, since the diet the zoo feeds it does no contain bacteria like rotten flesh does the dragons bite have the same bacteria as in the wild?

  • i want a komodo dragon for a pet. would make one heck of a guard pet. lol

  • tug o' war!

  • who dies?

  • maybe they have a mild venom causing sharp pain in the affected area but the fatality comes from infection that follows, and if they were too dangerous they wouldn't be thinking of putting them into the pet trade which is most likely going to pass since crocs are legal to keep with certain licenses, i just hope they dont reach the wrong hands and released into the wild or simply mistreated to the point of a slow and painful death cuz despite the danger they are still magnificent creatures.

  • Its not venom its bacteria

  • they do have venom it was found out i think. it prevents the blood from clotting from what i hear. it helps prevent the body from healing like it should and help spread the infection.

  • Actually its both venom and bacteria.

  • @dooshsayswhat no dude, its just bacteria. there are only 2 known lizards in the world that has venom, gila monster and bearded lizard

  • @inferiorJK i think you will find they do have venom glands, look it up.

  • @dooshsayswhat there is suspicion that they have venom, but it is not yet confirmed.

  • @MrPirarucu97 They are venomous

  • @dooshsayswhat actually its bacteria alone

  • @dooshsayswhat *facepalm* how this is second highest rating I donkt know but I have to say one thing. YOU ARE SO STUPID!

  • @TheFerrot You mad bro? go make some more spore creatures to calm you down. how about a Komodo dragon lacking venom glands?

  • @dooshsayswhat Ive just dont understand where the hell you got you info. It rather annoying to see people like your completely false commment

  • @TheFerrot Well use some common sense and look it up. Here is a prelude for you. There is evidence to suggest that immediate effects from the bite is caused by venom. That's not to say that it will kill you, it's relatively weak when compared with snake venom. Furthermore scans have shown that they have two venom glands on their lower jaw which prouduce toxic proteins i.e. venom. I bet you will be even more surprised that some mammals produce venom aswell as lay eggs.

  • Cool, but those guys are playing a dangerous game getting that close. lol.

  • @skital lol not really, they actually behave like domestic dogs.

  • hey all for those who believe that Komodo's have no venom glands please do your research before you spread this false information. Albeit that prior to the date of May 18th 2009 it was widley believed that Komodo's had in theory no venom glands. this is supprisingly untrue. you can clearly see by examining the Mandiable (jaw) of a Komodo that they do in fact have Venom glands.

so once again people please be sure to do research about these sorts of theories before you start flaming eachother.

  • does that mean he is hungry or is that really like a dog would play with a toy because i see its not trying to swallow it or thrash it around like monitors usually do with prey... very cool wish they were legal to own as pets lol too bad i gotta stick with my water monitor... next best thing lol

  • Ahhh.....This dragon is so cute ^_^

I wish I had one friend lizard like her...

She perhaps says.... ' It's my toy , I don't let you go, play with me....'

  • the bite is venomous, not only toxic beacause of bacteria

  • Why all the 'thumbs down" ? This is true and was recently published.

  • WRONG. Venom has not been found in the saliva of Komodo Dragons

  • if raised in captivity the bite isnt toxic, as they dont eat rotting things with bacteria in them.

  • They actually have venom glands, it's not just because of bacteria.

  • TRUE

  • it has been proven that komodos posses crude venom grands. if you have some free time look through Mark K. Bayless's publishings on komodos.

  • @SilverMarble aham. that's WHAT we tough until like 1 year ago...they are toxic! look it up. actually MANY monitors are mildly toxic. it's not something that's to kill a human instantly tough.

  • @SilverMarble Still, if a Komodo dragon bit you, it'd be a nasty bite. Very deep.

  • they got no haunting insting and canibalism there... it,s makes them slow.. anyway, never ever try that with the dragon in the real habitat, that's gonabe a big trouble...even smaller than that...courious?!

  • It's a reptile, instinct is always there.

  • that's awesome. How would you get to play tug. I wonder if they put some kind of flavoring on the toy.

  • It seems really gentle.

  • What an amazeing animal, this video was great.

  • i wonder what would happen if you fed a kimodo dragon anti-biotics for like 2 weeks ...would its saliva die off?

  • remember, they are venemous aswell.

i believe if they are captive bred and fed fresh meat that they would have less bacteria.

  • show me some venom glands... dont worry i've got plenty of time... the only TRULY VENOMOUS lizards are Gila monsters and mexican beaded lizards, its just bacteria in there jack

  • they're in the lower jaw.

  • I don't think its a wise idea to play tug of war with a komodo dragon, even if its still young it can still turn on you

  • that is the reason why I'm determined to be a zookeeper.

  • aww its so cute!

  • that is jokes!
