It's the best to get all 3. If you finish the first one you can continue in the 2nd one with the same lvl equip etc.

It's a game about a online game called "the World". The Protagonist Haseo is trying to kill the PK Tri-Edge because he pked a friend of Haseo called Shino and she lost her counsious ever since that. So in order to save her he hunts Trie-Edge and became a PKK. But the story gets alot better, I just don't want to spoil ^^

@DarkAdventChild There is a online version of this game, its called Fragment. How ever, it was never released in the United States, or anywhere out side of Japan for that matter. So it only works on a Japaneses PS2, and I doubt the servers are still running.

Because for all it's amazing graphics, FFXII is kind of dry and lacks the sense of immersion that .hack has with its compelling (albeit convoluted) storyline and diverse character cast.

Both games have their ups and downs, and both are overall good games. But I'm willing to sacrifice a few gameplay/graphical issues for a good story and good characters any day.

To answer irock730's question, if u convert data from any of the previous 4 installments (infection, mutation, etc.) u get an e-mail from Blackrose asking Kite if he was banned from the world after the party. The party being the one held by Helba in the final episode of .hack//sign. I think that the players behind Balmung and Orca were also banned. I know that Kite appears as a returning character in the new manga .hack//Link. Haseo also returns but now acts like the Terror of Death again.

Actually Tri-Edge is another name for Ovan. Haseo only thought that Kite of the Azure Flame was Tri-Edge (who PKed Shino) because he appeared right after Ovan left (Kite was looking for Ovan to fight him). It was all just a big case of mistaken identity.

I just been gathering info. O, I think tri-edge is call "Tri-edge" Because he does carry a Tri-edge. Lol. Tri-edge is realy a name of a weapon. His real name s "Kite the azure flame. Aura created Tri-edge to delet Aida but bcause in the church, Haseo was in the way of Tri-edge. In the end of the scene you see Ovan standing at the end of the church, Because Ovan had Aida in his left arm Tri-edge tried to move Haseo out of theway. My friend said that ovan really killed shino. Tri-edge was blamed.
