  • this is such a great game, used to spend hours playing it and back then the graphics were ground breaking, far better than the stuff you'd see on amigas.

  • Impressive for its time.

  • I used to play the Amiga verson.. much better sound and the same game :) ... We all need a non-bloated remake of this game NOW!

  • thats blue ray graphics right there :)

  • Very fantastic memories of this game!

  • Wow did I play this game a little TOO much... had hours of fun just setting up crashes and watching it on replay. Think I had it on the 386?

    watch#!v=6fYGvoftBDM&feature=related

  • @Robfoxman look at the last comments in that video... you can tell ive already watched it. xD

  • @hazzardwantcookies heheh sorry man :)

  • Any one has good setups?

  • haha you suck...most fun racing game to crash in ever...it DOES sound way better with adlib or soundblaster sound...makes it easier to drive as well

  • the crashes are unforgettable

  • I'm not sure if you could do this in the base program, but with the Indy Editor, you could set it up so there was car damage, but no yellow flags in the longer races - this made it REAL interesting trying to drive through the same wreckage lap after lap...especially when someone else would crash, adding to the carnage and changing previous wrecks' positioning. Memories!

  • @goate yes I remember that too, it was these little features that made these old games so much fun!

  • That's no way treat the March-Cosworth!

  • i loved this game as a kid the only thing is i lost the book that was with it so i always had to guess at the code to get in the game lol

  • Damn, did we spend hours on end, playing THIS game? lol

  • Haha this was the first game that came with our first computer in '94. Computer cost 4g's and ran at 33mhz.. . . 66mhz when you press the turbo button!

  • hehehe

    486 :p

  • LOL !

  • wow i used to play this game... i'm getting old

  • Man i used to love crashing in this game lol

  • lol i played that on commodore 64 thats how old that is lol nice one xD!!!!

  • In 1992 drive game Indianapolis 500 and lead 165 laps, that crash in turn 3 loss my concentration, overtake a slow car in outside curve!

  • Great memories. I used to drive in front of the other cars and tried to create biiiiiig crashes... :)

  • haha i remember that sound, i miss pc speaker. i played this game for like 10 years

  • Yeah indeed the memories.. I finished only once that 200 laps race.. it was with that the same car like in this are racing.. if i remember right i was 13th of the 17 or 18 cars.

  • I also played this game backward, almost exclusively. It had an impressive physics engine for the time, so you you could set up roadblocks by pushing dead cars around and waiting for the other cars to smash into them, parts flying everywhere.

  • my god, the sound is terrible! haha

    way better on the amiga

  • The game also runs with AdLib sound given the right command line option (and the presence of an AdLib card, of course). It sounds splendid in that configuration.

  • I had some fantastic fun with this game, loved going backwards & smashing all the cars in to bits :)

  • lol

  • ahh - the memories ...
