@kidkappa04 You can actually sign up to receive one of the old flags for free, there are separate waiting lists for the Peace Tower flags and the others from Parliament Hill. If you are interested, I recommend signing up soon, as last I checked the waiting list is like 20 - 30 years long. Pretty nice idea though, I think. :)

One of the best places I've been in my life! Summer of 2009, I'm never gonna forget this place! After watching Parliament Hill on TV so many times, you never know how big the place is when you're actually there.

Waiting list was 18 years when I had to ask 2 years ago. You have to send in your request to Public Works...not Parliament.

You know, people can put their name on a waiting list for a Canadian flag that has flown on Parliament Hill. The waiting list is somewhere around 19 years.

the flags on top of parliment are taking down everyday and a new one put up, they are then given to whoever wants them, you simply mail parliment and ask for the flag, you'll get it for free

but its a 7 year waiting list well

that was 3 years ago, so its probably close to a 9 year waiting list now.
