You know, after the guy at the First Edition tells you that Gwinas is coming to get the book, Gwinas appears right outside the door. Go out, follow him back in, then get the book from him there. A lot quicker than this videos stratgegy.

Apparently not, as it didn't happen to me. The first time I played, Gwinas appeared in the shop and I bought for 100 gold. Second time, he was all the way in Anvil. This time, this happened. It seems random.
