I played subspace extensively during beta starting from the time the leviathan was introduced, I mainly concentrated in getting a high bounty in alpha and chaos and having half the zone chase me, and turret in alpha, that was a hoot :) I never liked the war zones, too frustrating

I miss SS, was introduced to it in 98-99 through it was only in 02 when I started to play regularly until 08. Is there still a decline in people playing SS or has it managed to pick up since then?

Shame about Metal Gear CTF going under, used to be a regular until they reset the upgrades and started using the new (if inferior) layout.

People should start in TW, I agree. It's easier and friendlier. When you get thicker skin and want more of a challenge, EG is the place where the pros play.

i recommend playing the level SSCU TRENCHWARS though because that extreme games people cheat and they use hacks to go invisible and kill you and they say mean things stay away from that level, trench wars has nicest peoples

this is the best game ever created, honestly, especially for people like me that don't have great computers. LOL! but honestly, i've been playing this game for ... 6 years now, but it's on and off... so i would say, if you were to take out the breaks in between, i would have played for 3 years... and now i'm back at it.XD great game indeed. the only bad part is "why does trench wars have 300+ players?"

yeah i highly recommend downloading the game and playing in the zone Extreme Games, ones you get into it its very addictive. if your looking for 5 mins of "stress relieving time" then i have to dissapoint you cause this game is for HARDCORE FOCUS PWNAGE satisfaction. so if you only wanna play for 5 mins goto some flash site and play a flash game :P

I have been playing ss since 1998 (and still am), when I checked a few years ago there were 10k players per monthly reset for EG. There would be less now. It is an awesome game, problem is so many people do not actually play it, or only play it for a day. I remember when I first played I thought it sucked how there were walls in space! Takes a while to understand what people are doing, but once you do it rocks.

Saying that the game "attracts over 100,000 every day" is a bit misleading. The truth is that at any given time there are much less than 1,000 people playing and most of those tend to play for several hours before logging off so it's unlikely that the daily number of players would get anywhere near 100k.
