  • I have been interested in this stuff since 2002.

  • Neither passing ship was the MISSOURI. The ship that passed astern looked to be a PRINCE of WALES class.

  • I bet that little plastic Hitler was pretty upset about this!

  • I demand a replay from the video referee!

  • great shit

  • lol fastest sinking ever, had titanic went down like that it would be a short movie

  • @SethP666 They would have just used a smaller iceberg.

  • Have the electronics ever been knocked out by one of the ball bearings?

  • It *has* happened where proper protection wasn't performed. (Ala "blast shielding" on the inside of the hull to keep bearings from going further into the ship than the outer skin.) Normally the electronics are well protected though.

  • What do you use as blast shields?

  • Gee, the ducks in the pond must be really impressed.

  • guys look at hms barham and get a grip

  • :) Umm, the target audience on this is other Big Gun Warship Combat members. For historical footage though, that footage of Barham is quite good of course.

  • So, why did it sink? Did one of the BB's put a hole in it? If so, how do you repair such a hole? Shoring?:)

  • It had more holes below the waterline than the pump could keep up with. The sides of the hull are balsa, so repairs are quite quick. Typically just takes about 30 minutes (or less) to pull the ship up from the bottom, drain the water out, patch the sides with silkspan, regas and rearm, and toss her back onto the water again. There are some articles on construction/repairs up at RCWarships org as well as NTXBG org

  • Oh yeah. Yes the holes were put there by mostly 1/4" ball bearings, but it probably had some 7/32" in it as well.

  • So when an R/C ship is sunk, as it was here, do you just wade in, get the sunk model, then drain it of water for use again in the same day?

  • Typically pull it up by the float from the dry comfort of a dinghy or boat. If all goes well, she'll be turned around and back on the water in 30 minutes or less.

  • Cool

  • quick up date for you

    you tube search "peasholm"

  • i went to a thing like that in scarborough on the east coast of england at a place called peasholm park think it was called the battle of peasholm park if you like model battle ships then you might want to google it one of my best days out as a kid you would't belive the efort that goes in to it they even have bombers nand fighter aircraft and explosions gallore hope you find it

  • Yeah, he didn't read the part that it was R/C Warship Combat, but please be kind. :) thx!

  • hmmmm very very fake

  • Umm, wasn't intended to be real. It's BigGun R/C Warship Combat, ala a hobby with 1/144 model ships. :)

  • Ive never heard aout any of this and i find it very interesting. How long have you been into this. How many members? Im in Reno NV and I can imagine getting a lot of ppl here into something like this.

  • I think the closest club to you in Nevada is Western Warships Combat Club. Memberwise, we're worldwide, but predominately in the US and Australia with a couple hundred in BigGun and another couple hundred in Small/Fast Gun which is predominately US/Canada. To get help launching a club, subscribe to the "biggunwarship" group at Yahoo. the RCWarship(dot)org and NTXBG websites both have a lot of info.

  • Hey thanks, I think by spring I will buy myself one of these model. I know several people who would get involved with this.

  • lol..looks like a japanese remake of a godzilla movie

  • lol kl.
