I felt deeply Disturbed with the atmosphere in this scene. The heart beat, the frantic phone call from Marie, Walt going Insane. I felt scared myself. Truly my favorite scene in all of the series......anyone know the song when sa
1:33 For some reason that scream reminded me of Hal. It really shows how great an actor Cranston is, that he can transition from panic to despair to hysteria so quickly and yet so believably.
Breaking Bad at it's finest. Vince Gilligan and the production team, you are a talented group. This scene literally had me enthralled. It was like watching a horror movie. Best line:
"Skyler, it's happening again..." With Walt's laughter in the background. Just like in season two. Everything comes crashing down around Walt. All the consequences of his actions. Except this time it's his family in trouble, and all he can do is laugh. God damn
I have literally watched this scene 50 times. The musical halt when Walt screams "WHERE IS THE MONEY?!" is bone-chilling. Oh my God this show is so fucking fucking fucking great.
Holy fuck. I've watched this so many times, and I still can't wrap my brain around it. The music is what really sets it off. That thumping, and the static at the end are perfect.
Easily the greatest scene in TV. I was blurting HOLY FUCK after the episode and sat for 5 minutes after this scene before i could continue to finish Season 4.
SO FUCKING INTENSE THIS WAS! This is a testament to why Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan and Bryan Cranston are the fucking greatest
seriously, this may be the best tv moment of all time. i just realized what it reminds me of... The Shining, the 'Here's Johnny!' moment. Skyler's face is largely what sells this, it reminds me of Duvall screaming. The sound of Walter laughing in the background and the last shot, zooming out. Mindblowing work.
Fucking chills every time I see this clip. Pure perfection. I don't think there will every be a show this perfect. 4 for 4 seasons of perfection is rare. In all honesty this scene would have been an AMAZING season finale. I would have been super pissed that I had to wait another year to find out what happened to Gus but still would have been amazing. This scene is all anyone needs to see to fall in love with the show
I don't mean to branch off into comic book territory, but if they ever make a film adaptation of The Dark Knight Returns, Bryan Cranston needs to play The Joker. Watch this scene, and then imagine him twisting his own neck until he breaks it and kills himself while laughing.
This is by far one of the most intense scenes in TV history. Along with that scene with Gus in Box Cutter (season 4 episode 1). Bryan Cranston and Giancarlo Esposito should both win awards for their brilliant performances.
I think Anna Gunn's acting in this scene is fantastic obviously this is one of the best scenes of Walt but the look of terror on Skyler's face makes it even better.
Holy shit, he's pretty much lost everything. His money, his job as a teacher and as a cook, his brother in law, his wife and children, his own life, Jesse... Holy shit, man. Holy shit.
The way Skyler packed the money makes it look like there are bodies under the house, it's all going to work out though, Ted is gone and all the loose ends with his business are taken care of with the gov., so Skyler will be able to use it to launder Walt's drug money now. The last shot is very David Lynch, it's like he is in a grave.
@y2jake215 In reality it does, I think here it is used as way to move the plot along to draw Skyler deeper into the business, she was using the same logic Walt uses for his decisions. The government may ask questions, but with season 5 being the last, the writers may be looking to streamline things. When Skyler finds out that Ted is dead and that she had a hand in it, she will be tainted even more. In the beginning with the Ted character, I thought he would be the "Danny" that Saul mentioned.
Watch Malcom in the middle (he's the father) Then watch this......TOTALLY AMAZING PERSONALITY CHANGES. Not many actors can do that. Also, HOW THE FUCK IS THIS SEASON GUNNA END
IMAGINE - this is what i was thinking during this scene, Skylar standing over Walt in the crawl space gets her throat slashed and Walt screams as her blood drips down on him. The camera angle and the thumping sound made this scene scarey. Walt's laugh is just flat out creepy. Emmy worthy not just for the actor but how bout for best drama. FUCK MAD MEN
@elrasta70 i agree. this season really belongs to Giancarlo Esposito and Bryan Cranston, but she and R.J. Mitte have really brought their game face this season.
THat´s what I call breaking fkng bad, best scene ever and there was no violence in it. I wonder what kind of souless, spineless bastards disliked this, anyway I think we all know what this means, Walter hasn´t killed anyone in a while and now he has no other choice. can´t wait for the next episode :O!!
I have a feeling some how that Hank, Jesse, Gus, Mike will all end up in the same spot. Like Hank/Gomez/ their boss will go find Gus, at the same time Jesse, Mike, Jesse and the new black guy are all about to kill each other when Hank shows up.
EPIC ending! THIS is how you do a television show. THUMBS UP if anyone was reminded of The Joker in the "Batman: The Killing Joke" story when Walt starts laughing hysterically at the end.
i was absolutely blown the fuck away by this scene....hands down THE best scene i have ever seen in any form of media. period. (coming from a huge fan of the sopranos and the wire) never been so gripped by something ive watched in my life
@thetruth34o9 I have seen the entire series of 'The Sopranos' and have watched every single episode of 'Breaking Bad' to date so far, but I haven't seen any of 'The Wire'. Any good?
@steve05030 the wire is downright amazing...maybe the best writing of any show ive ever seen. it moves a little slow but give it time and it gives the most realistic and in depth look at crime and corruption you will ever see. absolutely a must watch. sopranos breaking bad and the wire are all tied atop my list..
@Keoma02, really? I've never seen that show, now I might have to watch thsi finale...will it have any impact on me or do I need to watch the whole series?
I really believe that this scene is probably the best from the whole series, so far. The acting, the soundtrack, the filming, the meaning of it. It's pure art. It really inspires me. Oh, and in the end it's like David Lynch fucking directed it!
Thanks for the upload, had to come back and watch this again. So much metaphor in these few minutes alone, never mind the rest of the episode and the series as a whole.
