  • Damn i love lake almanor been going there for well about 20 yrs now! From the bay area father has house's in west wood love it up there walker lake used to b fun! Now it's just almanor and a few other secret location's! Lol!

  • Crickets work well, as do nightcrawlers, but try meal worms too! You can buy them from the hardware store in Chester.

  • Pro guide Doug "Almanor King" Neal reported on Saturday that rainbows are stacked "like cord wood" in the Hamilton Branch, the largest inlet to Lake Almanor. Shore access to the branch is good.
