@KEVINPOTTS1000 if you get your feed and speed right you can cut anything like butter without the problem of heat.. it looks like that's exactly what they did here as that's not soft metal at all

whats the difference between turning and facing? is turning just a rough cut and facing is making a smooth flat plane? or is facing just a process of turning?

Facing is when you are cutting the face of the part. Turning is when you are cutting the diameter. What you are thinking of is roughing/finishing.
