  • Nice sound quality there, Balto!

  • coooooooooooooooool!

  • hahahaa beautiful! i want one tiny piano like that :D

  • I love the toy piano! I never would have guessed how good it would sound with the uke. That was really cool! That was my first experience with music - a toy piano as a very young child. I still have a soft spot for them.

  • loveee this video :)

  • Really cool! Love the piano!

  • Thanks. I wish I had brought the piano home with me. :(

  • Yes, that sound great! Are those TV Pal ukes vintage, or do they still make them?

  • They're vintage 1950's. Emenee made some in the 1960's (not TV Pals). I saw a Pal in excellent condition go for under $5 on ebay this past week.

  • I seen a couple on Ebay in the past, but didn't know too much about them. I also found one of those Strummin Smurf ukes too, but it wasn't very good condition. I may have to put a bid on one of those TV Pal ukes though.

  • The Pals are worth it, but the smurf ones are usually bent at the neck with horribly high action. Usually unplayable. Action is the #1 to look for with these plastic ukes. Cracks can usually be fixed with super glue.

  • Thanks for the info on the TV Pals. I just wanted the Smurf uke because...well its got Smurfs on it.

  • you sure made those "toys" sound great. that's a really good arrangement Alan. Bravo.

  • yes, its a beaut!

  • Very lovely and plinky!

  • Beethoven would have been glad to hear this gem

  • Beethoven would have been glad to hear ANYTHING!

    ba-BOOM!!

    /thanks for the set up!

  • I bet those instruments never dreamed they'd ever play anything classical!

  • Excellent! I bet you surprised the in laws!! Pal uke sounds incredibly warm, new strings?

  • You must really be a giant, you make that guitar and piano look tiny!

    Wonderful, by the way!

  • That was the best performance on a toy piano I've ever seen! And it complimented the TV Pal quite well.

  • Wonderful job-you prove that anything is possible. :)

  • What a fantastic idea! Great arrangement and playing! Sweet! Love it! I wanna go on that piano! Did you let Colin play with it? I think I play with my kids toys more than they do, it sucks being a grown-up! :-( Lego's my favourite :-D X

  • That was brilliant! Sharing it on my Facebook, because this video just made me smile wide. :) Did Colin enjoy your playing?

  • Very nice!

  • Beautifully done. I'd steal that piano if I was you!

  • Awesome arrangement dude. Loved the little piano. But please don't remind me it's that time of year..

  • Lovely piano! I would have nicked it. Did you?

  • Very nice and a touch nostalgic, just right for this holiday weekend. I had a 'toy' piano just like it, though that would have been early '60s!

  • I hope the piano is going home with you... Stellar!

  • neato burrito! i hope you shared at least.

  • Very toyful, er... uh I mean joyful.

  • Sweet playing Alan, but you can't take Colins toys like that - he's gonna hold it against you when he gets older...

  • like this nice one

  • Lovely piece. Really nice arrangement.

  • Super cool! I guess the question of whether something is a toy or an instrument depends on who's playing it.

  • For the life of me I couldn't remember Beethoven was spelled that way, and kept pronouncing this Bee-toven.

Also wow that piano is so nice sounding, and your ukulele playing is as always, astounding!

  • full of super doooppper awesome goodness

  • This is so cool! I keep talking about getting one of those toy pianos for my chickens.

  • that was super awesome! =]

  • I read a while ago that Brian Wilson wanted to do a whole album using "toy" instruments. Maybe you could be a consultant to Brian and Van Dyke.... Nice Job on the song. (PS if you ever want to sell your TV Land Deluxe- let me know. It would look grand next to my Islander DeLuxe.....)

  • Very fine! and that seems to be one up-market toy piano -- nice. (Did you let Colin play with it at all?)

  • Brilliant!!

  • Ah, the old "make a video with children's instruments to avoid talking to the in-laws" trick, it works every time!

    That was pretty fantabulous, Alan!

  • Sounds great! I was a little bit afraid at first because I thought it was a full size piano and a very huge hand!!!

  • The music comes from an artist's hands, like in your case here. Wonderful performance. Love it!

  • Really really impressive :)

  • Very nice indeed!

  • a god musicain can make music from anything, this alone is proof enough for me. .. and im totally diggin' the TVpal uke.

    Nice work bro, never dissapointing
