  • sorry, I was'nt present for that!

  • Can presence be the reality of the nothingness in the mind

  • asdf

  • Oops. While watching videos ... this is my story of discovery, since I've never attended Satsang ... while watching, it has become presence that is watching. This is subtle. No longer does the critical mind participate. There is less and less attention on words. In its place is awareness agreeing with itself in the words of the "awakened".

  • Confusing stuff. She would do more good admiting that she doesn't understand herself , or failing that go team up with Andrew Cohen and see who can mislead the most people.

  • Neelam was asked in the radio "So you're from Poland", and she corrected "I was born in Poland", so yeah, seem that her parents were on a trip to Poland and then she was born, haha and that's why she got this accent. I dont like people who are ashamed of who they are. Maybe being from Poland is not good for her spiritual business.

  • I think her point is not to identify with any nationality. That Does not sound like a shame issue to me, but rather a more enlightened understanding of the nature of "I"

This is a worthwhile video for new students struggling with the meaning of presence? She lives it herself, like her teacher Papaji did, which is better than any words.

  • At the top of Neelam's web site it states "native of Poland", your theory has no merit.

  • She is from Poland but she doesnt identify with a particular national conditioning,or class or religious.Shes not a label shes a human being like you ans i and she lives on this earth as we do .If you devide into nationality you create conflict ,no?

  • breathtaking

  • ask a zen master what presence is and he'll hit you with a stick! It's dangerous to discuss, it's better to BE. These guys don't need answers, they need leadership. It's clear they weren't very confident in her "example" of presence, therefore making it more about "talk" than anything truly present.

  • The only luck I ever have with the practice of presence operates when I watch thoughts and feelings arise without identifying with them--as I usually do--and at that point the thought arises:"What is all this jive and where is it coming from and I'm sure glad it ain't me." IF that is feeling presence, then there are times everyday when I feel it.

  • but what do u do with ur thoughts?

  • In my experience, I watch the thoughts. And at times, I forget and chase after them like a dog chases a car. And I gently bring myself back to the position of observer. And when there is a bit of steadiness there, then I inquire, "who is observing this?" Who is this, in the here-now, that observes thoughts? On the one hand, there is listening for an answer. On the other hand, it is a rhetorical question. But in the inquiry, those pesky thoughts become far less problematic. This is my experience.

  • experience or experiencing?

  • Yes, "Presence" is where IT is at!

  • Wow, this is beautiful. I love her voice. You can tell how she is really "here". I've never heard of Neelam so thank you for posting this.

  • Please see the other segments, I have enough material for 5 pieces. Plus I will be putting other clips of satsang. Thanks

  • Is it just me or did the guy at the end of this one seem like he was mocking the whole thing? I still don't believe he understands what presence is because she explained it well enough for anyone to understand.

  • The gentleman was, by the look of him, a hell of a lot more interested in advertising the high quality of his cool than in understanding anything else at all.

  • do you really know this?

  • What I said was: By the look of him.
