  • papaya the sailor?

  • is POLISH this is fact

  • Papaya came from a Hawaiian word meaning Papain. Papain means tenderizer. Papain urea is a very potent chemical debriding agent treating Stage 1V decubitus ulcers. It worked a lot of wonders for a non healing wound. Its been pulled in the market few years ago due to cardiac health risks.

  • @parislovers1000

papaya-yes, its a friut, but this song is POLISH!!!

  • True story:)

  • poland sings ''papaya'' and pilipinos dance to it....POLAND&PHILIPPINES....Yeheeeey!!!

  • Wersja oryginalna Urszuli Dudziak jest niepodrabialna. Nikt nie jest w stanie wykonać jej równie niesamowicie jak Ona :)

  • The dance step is popular...and it will make the song known to many now....i think the song did not became famous in the 70's because the lyrics is so simple...unlike the dance step it can be remembered for several years....same case as the macerna song, if not for the moves, people won't rememeber the lyrics.

  • this is a polish song nut the dance was popularized by edu manzano(phil)...so it became famous

  • hi i'm from philippines...

    we all love this dance...

    it was very funny...

and my teacher make us dance this papaya when we came late in his class then we all laugh at each other...

  • i wonder if my freind is doing this dance....

  • The dance/moves may be catchy but the music really doesn't sound catchy.

  • u can olweiz come hir.. u'r very much welcomed.. :) take care..

  • thnx man :) u too

  • Bro, the dance wasn't meant to be serious. Edu does it to try and be funny so he can bring some laughter to his audience, but as it turned out, not only the Filipinos, but the whole world took notice. If it had been seriously done, then yeah, I'd agree with u, does look gay, but hey bro, let's enjoy it for what it was meant to be!

  • oh i know gay = awesome. i know it isn't serious.

  • My language arts teacher LOVES this! She finds it SOOO funny. She showed it to my class and we all loved it! ROCK ON PAPAYA DANCE!!!

  • in response to 100piotr, papaya is a tropical fruit in the philippines, i just don't know in Poland where the song originated.

  • A wy tylko "This song is from Poland""It's Urszula Dudziak's song" Przyzwyczajcie się do tego, czy za kazdym razem amerykanie i anglicy podpisują się pod tym "This song is from USA"?

  • It's Urszula Dudziak's song... =) she's from Poland xD (for ppl who doesnt know, it's in Europe lol)

  • POland - Urszula Dudziak 1976

  • Ok! But we still don't know where this song was made and by who? ;]

  • a skad to sie u nich wzielo ? :>

  • What does "Papaya mean?"

  • what does "Papaya" mean?

  • means Melon in Tagalog :D

  • huh?? melon in tagalog??

  • I mean in English :D

  • a papaya isn't a melon and it isn't tagalog.

  • papaya is tagalog means philippine language a papaya a fruit

  • Papaya is papaya and melon is melon. I can not think of a Tagalog term for papaya and melon.

  • hahaha.. its not melon in english. Papaya is an English word... ignorance

  • True.... Polish song made in 1976 by Urszula Dudziak. Wonder why is it so popular in different parts of the world so late? ;-)

  • Edu Manzano has his own remix of Urszula Dudziak's Papaya in his album 'Edu Manzano - World's Greatest Dance Steps.'
