how could they ever change this and the original wow I am all for them releasing new shit but why change the old stuff when that is originally what we all fell in love with
This song is so nostalgic , I just wished Blizz didn't bring in Cataclysm , I just cant believe they replaced the old music with the reorchestrated versions of what they have now , I loved this song , I just cry when i hear it , pity they replaced this :(
Rememberin the first time, times.. trying to pass barrens with my %60 speed warlock mount, the mount that i earned hard.. That awesome feeling..
Well, doesnt matter how ppl or me would feel angry or upset with blizzard, i had my best times on my life, and they really did the imposible, the hardest.. They created a LEGEND, and gave these mans a world, and gave that planet earth a story that will always be remembered..
Nothing will ever match the atmosphere and feeling of World of warcraft.. I could spend hours just revisit my favorite zones and just enjoy the beutiful music.
I quit after 5 years of unforgettable fun, and i still miss it :,(
I made my first character a Orc Warlock i was still a free trial acount cause my game wasnt here yet cause the post office was slow i started to play i had so much fun i even got lost went to Tirisfal Glades and i was like wow amazing new quests and i did all the lvl 1 quests for the Undead i felt so stupid when i found out about it but hell it was alot of fun and cause of that i made alot of friends cause alot of people asked why a Orc was doing quests in Tirisfal Glades ah such good times :)
@Dredillion It was fun and weird because for me it was all still confusing cause i knew how to speak english a little bit but some stuff was still hard for me to understand so i just went everywhere i wanted to go xD
This is beautiful music. I remember having my Orc and freely roaming through the lands. I haven;'t played since any of the newer ones came out (I'm seeing a lot of negative reports about them lol).
Reading comments always makes me sad becuase I feel the same way. All I can say is I miss pre Cata so bad. I started late BC and played through out LK. It was so much fun. I still play sometimes but it's not the same game it once was.
People who say... that when they first started playing wow, it was better because it was just like an adventure. You just wanted to explore... now it's all about gearing, raiding, grinding heroics.
That's not Blizzards fault, they haven't ruined the game. You reached end game content, it's an MMO and that is what end game content is. WoW is still a great game.
When I first played wow, I was strong with the Horde (Maybe cause I love the colour red) ;)
And Orcs we're my favourite back in vanilla, too bad Mists of Pandaria is kinda clouding up the whole point why WoW was such a big game to me, I used to love the thrill of the sound effects of leveling up and getting gold and shit, I mean that feeling in a game is priceless.
the first music i heard when starting wow (orcs ftw), the adventures to explore an enormous unknown world.....climb every mountain, search every cabin, kill all new mob you discovered and trying to complete quests you didnt know how to solve......together with this music....it will never go out of my mind.....r.i.p. wow
@Beoboab People who say... that when they first started playing wow, it was better because it was just like an adventure. You just wanted to explore... now it's all about gearing, raiding, grinding heroics.
That's not Blizzards fault, they haven't ruined the game. You reached end game content, it's an MMO and that is what end game content is. WoW is still a great game.
@Beoboab I'm a bit late to reply, but I can say the same about myself. Wow seems so industrialized now, both IRL and in the game. The music at 2:20 with the descending strings is the music that is permanently burned into my brain, and reminds me of simpler times, when you could lose yourself with your friends. Now people want instant gratification, which is fine: but that is what CoD is for
This reminds me of the days when I would just wander around looking for the next part of a quest, having fun and taking my time. No heirlooms to speed things up, no hints on the map, no rush to hit the next level, no jumping instantly into a dungeon. If you were going somewhere, you meant it because it was going to take a while. Trips into Orgrimmar were infrequent, mostly to get new skills. The world was a different place then, and it's sad to think it will never be that way again.
Jason Hayes knows how to bring feeling to the music. The new tracks have no depth in them at all and no feel. And the new ones which are fairly good, are simply reorchestrated versions of Jason's work :D
Everyone talks about their great memories in Durotar with this music. But for me? It brings back memories of westfall. I know, a lot of people didn't like it. But.. I just remember listening to this music and looking around the fields. A lot of it wasn't pretty, but.. it was peaceful. It was home. The music is the main reason I level in Westfall with any of my ally toons.
this music brings back a long forgotten feeling of being a little kid again, and when i try and reach out and grab this feeling i cant quite get my fingers round it and it slips away; the first day my dad showed me wow and i made an orc lock going round durotar telling my gran about it and her not approving of the game lol, then not wanting to leave the starter zone! Those were he times, and i miss them and vannila wow to terrible :(
even though I remember as a noob making a human and running around this reminds me of westfall. I like to remember it more as durotar since I dont play alliance anymore
I wish it was 4 years ago when i made my orc hunter, starting my epic journey for molten core! When the game wasn't JUST about gear, it was about joining together as teams whether that be in pvp or pve. Some changes just aren't for the good. :(
Wish i could turn back time and start the game again as a level 8 orc warlock and managing to swim to westfall, ohh i was adventureous! they've killed wow :(
@Triahotala i also went to the edge of elwyn forest when u go towards deadmines, cant member that area anymore, but in the river if u just hang there the old music kicks in
this remains me to those first days discovering the game and don't wanting to stop besides i had to go to sleep and get up early the next morning :P this is one of the ways wow captures you in its world: the music
Every one! listen up EVERY ONE WHO IS OBSESSESED WITH CATA PLEASE DONT READ THIS! COPY AND PASTE THIS MESSAGE TO OTHER WOW VIDEOS AND PROTEST AGAINST CATA IF YOU MISS THE OLD DAYS MAYBE BLIZZARD WILL LISTEN AND ADD A FEW SERVERS WITH THE OLD ZONES :D HOPE THIS WORKS
Cata was honestly the worst expansion i LOVED WOTLK AND TBC THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THEM! seriously blizzard why take out this music it warms my heart everytime i listen to it and WHY TELL ME WHY you change the World? its terrible stupid and makes me fell unconfortable while playing. thumbs up if you agree ;D and a big >:( to blizzard and thier stupidity
@Ko878MBat agree the new wow just dosnt have the same feel to it, the music is too dark and complex i miss the days when the music and zones were welcoming and fun especially the creeping volins bit in the old durotar music
the old durotar music was the real durotar . the music suited it perfectly and had that comfortable feeling when u first leveled there as a noob and gave a hint that there was a massive world to explore especially the creeping violins bit at 1:50 ish. The new music is way too dark and has ruined the zone much like most of cata has
So peaceful music, comfortable, nice, gives me memories of the first time i EVER tried wow, makes me to even cool down and think about the past. So beatiful.
to me this is not just a memory of wow this is a memory of my earlier childhood when i first played an orc warlock, and even though if blizz do bring vannila servers which would be fab it still wouldnt be quite the same as those days
This brings back so many memories. Back in the good old days when nothing mattered in the world except to just have fun. Back when you were so low ranked you were happy to level once. But as you level you end up not playing the game for fun, you start grinding and playing to show other people up. When you start being aggressive towards others. But this music will always connect us to that peaceful part about World of Warcraft.
The music gives a hint about there being a vast world for you to explore when you start your first character. To bad that exploring is so damn easy these days
wow it's so good to see everyone feels the same when it comes to hearing this music and feeling nostalgic about their first time adventuring as an orc/troll :-) i feel connected! <3
you know many things in life have their first time and that first time is imposible to forget ... well we all have experianced the first time in World of Warcraft .. im not sure you all will like what im about to say but .. there is a feeling for that game - when you hear a music from the past .. remembering how you walk around this world.. get killed from players 10 levels above you.. killing others.. envy someone for having better items... but the real feeling about that great game is LOVE!
My first char was orc hunter. When I listen to this music I really want to play it again, but haven't played it for 1 year now, and I think I made a good choice quiting it.
This fantastic song reminds me of my lvl 15 orc warrior Gothlaron... Last time i played with him before i got hacked was at the barrens... Well i guess ill start over!
I remember going to Durotar as a lvl 7 undead for the first time, I had no idea where the hell I was and I had no sense of scale in the game (I thought it was like 40 times bigger than it actually is) lol
this just makes me feel comfortable with the game and makes me want to sit there, as an orc and let the game be just spectacular, the new music doesnt have the same comfortable feeling to it :(
@waxcoatedbanjo Yeah, these old musics gave the feeling of an explorer and really let you get IN the game. All in all, beautiful composition.
Best part I remember from WoW was Durotar and finding the Harpys in the canyon. (new mobs, why wouldn't you be excited?) And after that, GOOD OLE ORGRIMMAR!
ahhh god i remember old wow so well i would give any thing for them to have kept wow ether just a lvl 60 or 70 but with epic flyers in azeroth aswell please that would be amazing
@pb999999999 Right there with ya. That was always the most beautiful part to me, it carried such a sense of wonder as to what the future held for my new character.
@Wowmusicable :((((( this music was completely awesum!i reemmber when i first rolled troll as my first race, this music was goingand i was just listening to it and doing quests alone in durotar,it almost makes me cry now

this just makes me feel comfortable with the game and makes me want to sit there, as an orc and let the game be just spectacular, the new music doesnt have the same comfortable feeling to it :(

@waxcoatedbanjo u only get this theme when u r away from towns :P

@waxcoatedbanjo Yeah, these old musics gave the feeling of an explorer and really let you get IN the game. All in all, beautiful composition.
Best part I remember from WoW was Durotar and finding the Harpys in the canyon. (new mobs, why wouldn't you be excited?) And after that, GOOD OLE ORGRIMMAR!

@pb999999999 Right there with ya. That was always the most beautiful part to me, it carried such a sense of wonder as to what the future held for my new character.

I don't want Durotar to change.

@NiteX2 There will be no remix of this music in Cataclysm, the music for Durotar will be totally different.
