When I was a sophomore in high school I found the guy that im going to marry, hes everything I need and want, but in early September he went off to the airforce and I haven't seen him or heard frorm him since then. sad part was i joined the service in 2005, my brother in 2006, and sister in 2007. here it is going on 2010 and i have yet to see my sister since i joined in 2005 due my deployments and hers. missing family hurts so much

I would hate to burst anyone's bubble...but my husband has been in Iraq for 10 months now...it doesn't get easier the closer it gets to him coming home. I cry at least 3 times a week because I miss him so much. It gets hard, your husband's are out there, stressed to the max, worrying about whether today is the day or not and we sit at home hoping for a call from him. This is our second deployment and having kids makes it harder. I pray every night for all soldiers that are out there! TY!

My fiance asked me out the day that he left for Iraq from a 3 week leave and we made that commitment to be faithful to each other until his return which was 3 months later. It was hard, but you will make it through. You have to keep yourself busy. Its hard just being the girlfriend because you have to rely on his family to keep you informed on whats going on. I didn't have that. I had to eait to hear from him. Now we are happily engaged!!

I'm so thankful my boyfriend is at Malmstrom AFB and won't be deployed anytime soon. You ladies go through some hard times, I was just a baby when my dad was in desert storm, He says he came home and I didn't know who he was, while my mom says I recognized him right away. haha. I had a girlfriend before i left for Iraq. She was gone by the time i come back from my second tour. It caused so much strain and worries and she couldnt cope. I was Royal Marines Commando for 4 years. Thinking of going back too.

My husband has been deployed 4 out of the last 6 years. He is retiring in April after 24 years. Now, my baby, my son is a US Soldier who is looking forward to his first deployment. I couldn't be more PROUD of them. Yes, I miss them and I pray for their quick and safe return but the return is soooo sweet. you just look at it as "yay 1 more day down"!!! I have 3 sets of days marked on my calendar! 1 is the 400 day count, 1 is the count since he left, and 1 is until he comes home before heading to WI to leave for Germany/Kuwait/Afghanistan. It's not easy by any means, it's takes a real strong determined woman to make it. But it is well worth it in the long run! It's quite an honor GOODLUCK! You will be in our prayers & thoughts!! its VERY hard not only in the beginning but also through the whole time when your military man is away. but thing u have to remember is its also very hard on him to. so best thing to do evn if its hrd is stay strong, faithful,truthful,hopeful,and patient, for him. you r wat gives him strength everyday 2 finish his job. cherish every moment. it helps 2 tlk to ppl who have bf's, husbands, friends, etc who r over seas. trust me.
My Husband just returned from a 15 month deployment, and let me tell you it really does suck. It is never easy for us to say good bye and it hurts the same everythime they go, but that is part of our lives and part of his job. You just always have to remember that as much pain your feeling and how much you miss him and wish he were there, He is feeling the same way to. No matter what just remember he loves you too.

My soldier is at basic for 10 weeks, I know it doesn't compare to 9 months, but Take things one day at a time. Think about him, He'll be thinking about you i promise. Write him A LOT!!! Count down the weeks. Most importantly keep busy, give yourself a goal to complete by the time he comes home. I'm a new Army GF too, If you ever need to talk i'm here for you. Us Army GFs gotta stick together and stay strong for our men. :)
That is something that does not get easy at all. My boyfriend was deployed for 18 months, came back last year and now he will deploy again in November. We just got engagaed so yes, it is hard. But as they stand strong for us in another country, we must stand strong at home for them. YES< it is hard as hell to watch them leave and count down the days until they come home. they dont know how it feels to have them go away to NNPTC is SC while your stuck in another state miles away knowing that when you move you still wont be able to sleep with him at night and only be able to see him once in awhile while your engaged to him, they dont know the feeling of dread that you get when you think about him having to go on leave, to keep strong for yourself and for him, to obey every rule so he doesnt get in trouble for something you did..
How can people put this video and its message down. They dont understand how it feels to have the man you love with all your heart and soul be away from you. To only get two phone calls in two months while there at basic,to see his things everywhere around and to be reminded of him at every turn, to sleep alone in the bed you shared, to know you cant kiss them at the graduation or on base or they could get in trouble and having to only do with a hug,

I have to agree with this. I have been married to my navy man for almost 17 years. We have been through many deployments and I can never imagine myself with any man but him. I can honestly say, I have been faithful to my husband and I still love him after so many years. He has currently served 23 years and will retire summer of 2009. WE are so looking forward to that day.

sad part was i joined the service in 2005, my brother in 2006, and sister in 2007. here it is going on 2010 and i have yet to see my sister since i joined in 2005 due my deployments and hers. missing family hurts so much

I would hate to burst anyone's bubble...but my husband has been in Iraq for 10 months now...it doesn't get easier the closer it gets to him coming home. I cry at least 3 times a week because I miss him so much. It gets hard, your husband's are out there, stressed to the max, worrying about whether today is the day or not and we sit at home hoping for a call from him. This is our second deployment and having kids makes it harder. I pray every night for all soldiers that are out there! TY!

My fiance asked me out the day that he left for Iraq from a 3 week leave and we made that commitment to be faithful to each other until his return which was 3 months later. It was hard, but you will make it through. You have to keep yourself busy. Its hard just being the girlfriend because you have to rely on his family to keep you informed on whats going on. I didn't have that. I had to eait to hear from him. Now we are happily engaged!!

I'm married to a police officer, and even though I worry about him, I can't imagine what our soliders' wives, girlfriends, fiances etc. must be going through while their loved ones are deployed. I'm so thankful my boyfriend is at Malmstrom AFB and won't be deployed anytime soon. You ladies go through some hard times, I was just a baby when my dad was in desert storm, He says he came home and I didn't know who he was, while my mom says I recognized him right away. haha. Thank you ladies for the support you give the other women who are going through the same thing.

My brother is in the airforce. He is a pilot of the C17. But, My boyfriend is signing up. I never thought anything would be this hard. My brother was overseas so much, for so long. We plan to marry May '11. Im counting down the days. But I know this is what he wants to do. Military wives and girlfriends are some of the strongest woman I have ever come in contact with. Its harder than most think. I have a great deal of respect for you guys. Because soon ill be in your position.

I am the wife of an airman and he has been gone for over 2 moths now. I feel like my world is crashing down around me. We have 2 small children together and it breaks my heart when they ask where daddy is. Thank you for your video. It helps to know that someone else has the same pain and anxiety that I do. I had a girlfriend before i left for Iraq. She was gone by the time i come back from my second tour. It caused so much strain and worries and she couldnt cope. I was Royal Marines Commando for 4 years. Thinking of going back too.

i love this video. it makes me cry everytime. perfect song, perfect words, everything. my fiance is back at fort benning doing airborne school. he is active infantry airborne. he is probably being deployed for 18 months in the beginning of next year. makes me so sad but yet SO PROUD of him.

Im active duty U.S. Navy, and I gotta say this was a fantastic job. I'm leaving for a 7 month deployment soon and have to leave my beautiful fiance. It's good to know there are people out there that can support one another during such things. I Salute all spouses and significant others of military personnel. You have the hardest jobs of all.

My husband has been deployed 4 out of the last 6 years. He is retiring in April after 24 years. Now, my baby, my son is a US Soldier who is looking forward to his first deployment. I couldn't be more PROUD of them. Yes, I miss them and I pray for their quick and safe return but the return is soooo sweet. THANK YOU to all who serve and thank you to all those who love them and support them. They are all my HEROES!

My boys' dad has been in Iraq for 17 months and has 7 more to go. Its the hardest thing to go through..What helped me was talking to other men and women who;s loved ones are over seas. No one understands the situation unless your in it too..God bless him and Good Luck..

you just look at it as "yay 1 more day down"!!! I have 3 sets of days marked on my calendar! 1 is the 400 day count, 1 is the count since he left, and 1 is until he comes home before heading to WI to leave for Germany/Kuwait/Afghanistan. It's not easy by any means, it's takes a real strong determined woman to make it. But it is well worth it in the long run! It's quite an honor GOODLUCK! You will be in our prayers & thoughts!! its VERY hard not only in the beginning but also through the whole time when your military man is away. but thing u have to remember is its also very hard on him to. so best thing to do evn if its hrd is stay strong, faithful,truthful,hopeful,and patient, for him. you r wat gives him strength everyday 2 finish his job. cherish every moment. it helps 2 tlk to ppl who have bf's, husbands, friends, etc who r over seas. trust me.

My Husband just returned from a 15 month deployment, and let me tell you it really does suck. It is never easy for us to say good bye and it hurts the same everythime they go, but that is part of our lives and part of his job. You just always have to remember that as much pain your feeling and how much you miss him and wish he were there, He is feeling the same way to. No matter what just remember he loves you too.

My husband was deployed for the first time in June08, letting him go for was one of the hardest thingI had to do. The time goes fast you may not think so right away but it does. Keep busy and talk to other people who are in the same situation.

there is nothing harder than saying goodbye to your bf but there is nothing greater than saying welcome home. just hold strong and count down the days. both me and my bf are in the army so we go through double deployments and thats hard. just hold strong and know that they will be back. sleep with a picture every night and save text messages from him to read. and know that not only is he strong for going to iraq but ur strong for sticking by his side and being his support system

My soldier is at basic for 10 weeks, I know it doesn't compare to 9 months, but Take things one day at a time. Think about him, He'll be thinking about you i promise. Write him A LOT!!! Count down the weeks. Most importantly keep busy, give yourself a goal to complete by the time he comes home. I'm a new Army GF too, If you ever need to talk i'm here for you. Us Army GFs gotta stick together and stay strong for our men. :)

That is something that does not get easy at all. My boyfriend was deployed for 18 months, came back last year and now he will deploy again in November. We just got engagaed so yes, it is hard. But as they stand strong for us in another country, we must stand strong at home for them. YES< it is hard as hell to watch them leave and count down the days until they come home. I hope I helped a little!

My boyfriend left today for 4 months and i just wanted to hold onto him forever. I know its his job and to tell people he's in the army makes me so proud but it doesn't stop the pain.

My soldier left for Iraq 4 months ago. I'll see him in December then he goes back and is gone again for another 7 months...
I miss him tremendously and I talked to him two days ago. I mentioned that it's hard for me not to tell him I miss him all the time... I want him to know that I'm here standing independantly waiting for his return. He has comfort in knowing that I can hold things down til he gets home.

Im sorry I may not be a wife yet or have him over in the middle east but its still so hard, but I would never leave him for anyone else in this whole world...we may be the lowest rank in the military heck we dont we even rank and most of the time were invisible next to him, but military girlfriends, boyfriends, fiacee's, wifes and husbands know a kind of pain and kind of love that no one else could ever understand.

they dont know how it feels to have them go away to NNPTC is SC while your stuck in another state miles away knowing that when you move you still wont be able to sleep with him at night and only be able to see him once in awhile while your engaged to him, they dont know the feeling of dread that you get when you think about him having to go on leave, to keep strong for yourself and for him, to obey every rule so he doesnt get in trouble for something you did..

How can people put this video and its message down. They dont understand how it feels to have the man you love with all your heart and soul be away from you. To only get two phone calls in two months while there at basic,to see his things everywhere around and to be reminded of him at every turn, to sleep alone in the bed you shared, to know you cant kiss them at the graduation or on base or they could get in trouble and having to only do with a hug,

This video made me cry, my husband is training to go to iraq and i havent seen him for days, he will be gone thirty days for training and then come home for ten days and then leave to iraq for a year it breaks my heart

I loveee this video soo much,my boyfriend is in basictraining right now until september thats 4 months,and it's the longest,hardest 4 months of my life,but knowing that out there someone else knows how I feel and is going through the same thing makes me feel not as along.

I mean that he is everything in my life and I've known so many girls that cheated on their men while they were serving overseas and I just think it is so wrong but then they try to pull it off,like they still love them when they come home after six months of duty,and all the husband or boyfriend cares about is just seeing them not hearing that or hearing it from somebody else...you get the picture?

Yea... I get what your saying.. but its not good to put all military wives in that category. I couldnt see myself with any other person other than my husband. There are those women that cant handle the distance, but those arent the true military wives. And this video is not dedicated to those who are unfaithful. I made it while my husband was in bootcamp... I understand what your saying but dont say all women cheat on their deployed husbands.

I have to agree with this. I have been married to my navy man for almost 17 years. We have been through many deployments and I can never imagine myself with any man but him. I can honestly say, I have been faithful to my husband and I still love him after so many years. He has currently served 23 years and will retire summer of 2009. WE are so looking forward to that day.
