@kittenblack13 I think because they had been conditioned with morals that forbid murdering.. It is like one of those social rules not to hurt other humans, especially family members. And after weeks of deprivation and malnurishment, they may have also been confused and doubting their perceptions of reality.

I've watched this video several times and only just today I remembered to vote and comment. I love the movie and the book, this video and its song make the movie look even better. It's a remarkable fan vid and gets very emotional. I wish you could do more FITA videos.

And as for the people who bash the movie because it's faithful enough to the book, they're brainless and stupid, no question. It's may be a bad adaptation but it's a good 80s thriller, also.

No you can't buy it at Wal-Mart, but yeah its a decent movie, but since you read the books, the movie is a lot different then the books. Cause as you can see, they kill the mother in the movie, which sucks! Not that I like the mother, but I just want to see Cathy get a better revenge. And the incest isn't in the movie, except that you know that the father and mother are half neice and uncle. Different but not bad.

I love this movie, have it on DVD, but the sound is different, compared to the video audio.

I've never actually seen this movie but I remember reading the book many years ago...seeing it put to Portishead creates just the right atmosphere (as you do so often)...masterful vid here!
