@carrotbananajuice the sheet music she supplied us with is similar enough. to be honest, i'm already grateful she even provided a link and specific instructions on how to obtain the sheet music - even though it wasn't the exact arrangement she performed in the video. however, i do know the notes to the "missing measures" but the problem is finding time to make adjustments to the arrangement. if anything, the arrangement by E Davis and Adam YK is beautiful in itself.

I looked for the sheet music under your link but the only link that had the right sheet music was the arrangement by "E Davis and Adam YK", which is not the one you play in this vid :/ I learned that arrangement already but its quite different from the original version... @13kjonesy I'm pretty sure she didn't mean it to be offensive. It's a legitimate thing to watch out for when playing piano. If you play with your fingers too stiff then it could affect the notes that are played. For instance, at 2:06 the notes were kind of clumped together (possibly) because of her hands being to stiff. It's just some constructive criticism.

Even so, it's a good cover. Well done :)

Actually, if you listen to the original song it's supposed to sound that way. At least as I can tell it's a chromatic run. I don't notice any obvious stiffness when listening to her play. If there's any stiffness, I'm sure it's due to nerves more than technique or any lack of it.

It's very good that you learned how to play this song, but since you started piano when you were 12, your fingers are more stiff than people that started earlier. Try practicing more scales before you play too fast.

this is quite lovely. job well done and the previous praise in your comments is merited. you have a really nice instrument that is particular well suited to Hisaishi's harmonic language in this work (Baldwins have that nice full/dark jazzy sound that most of the mass market Asian instruments lack, though I do love Kawai actions). Pay special attention those juicy dissonances I think you'll find opportunity to explore some interesting sounds maybe some rubato sprikles here and there. great job.

@DiamondzReflection i think it's more about how much you practice than how long you've been playing. so i would learn pieces that i was capable of and liked. by then you'll know when you're ready to take on a more difficult piece. just keep practicing and learning.. the number of years you've been playing won't matter in my opinion.

Years don't matter, you can practice 2 hours a day for a year, and play the same as someone who practiced 30 minutes a day for 4 years... If not better, although I dislike using the word "better" when describing a musician
