  • me gusta como cantas !! te felicito!!

  • Incredible as always....very touching singing!!!

best regards from Santiago de Chile

    Susana

  • You're incredible.

  • that was amazing! :]

  • Wow!!! Sweet Sound!!!!

  • I commented on another video that this is actually an incredible test for vocal technique. One of those pieces often mistakenly given to beginners when it is in fact probably one of the hardest pieces in the repertoire to pull off. A little like Mozart, it exposes the voice to very harsh scrutiny.

I said in the other video that THAT was my favorite YouTube version. I am changing that vote.

    Simply marvelous.

  • That was amazing. I don't know how you're doing that, but it sounds fantastic

  • Wow, I did not expect countertenor!

  • OMG! I love you!! Amazing!

    ~Sarah Michelle~

  • My God .What a beautifil , exrpressive singing. You knocked me out, are you a castrato (not an insulting) or a counter Tenor.

  • I love the ornamentation you made to this song =) love your voice, wish I could sing it like that =)

  • I loved the trill at the end..

    Amazingly done :)

  • OH MY GOD!!!

    you are TOTALLY AMAZING

I always see your video on the related videos fo this song, but today i said myself, "Let' see it", believe me you shut up my mouth!!!!

    you sing absolutley BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Very nice.

I have to do this next year for Honors Choir, solo so :D

  • precioso, me encanta las ornamentaciones que le agrega precioso.!

  • I'm 15(almost 16) and i'm a tenor 1 in my choir. i can sing very high before goin falsetto and when i do i can sing with the sopranos in my choir. I was interested if you could give me advice on how to becoming a counter tenor and where i would go to train to become one. Very well done btw. I performed this for IHSA contest in an octave lower and got a perfect score but would love to be able to sing it in this key

  • From what I know there are two main types of countertenors, those whose normal speaking voice is bass or baritone and those with a tenor speaking voice. Some people consider the bass-baritone countertenor to be falsettist counter tenors and those people would say that the tenor countertenor is more the male-alto/male-soprano. (this is not my opinion) I would suggest doing the research to find a voice teacher who has handled countertenors before you hurt your voice in the attempt to train it.

  • I thought this was very good! Better than all the young sopranos on Youtube attempting this. Your voice reminded me somewhat of Russell Oberlin.

  • awesome job!

do you think you could please send me a midi of this in F Major?

    i'll message you my email

  • Well...this song is in MINOR. So you can't get in in F major.

  • @buckleyside You're in minor

  • Amazing counter tenor! this arrangement is a wee bit to trill-y for my taste, but all the more power to you for making it sound good. bravi bravissimi

  • thanks for sending the midi.. I have to perform this for regional auditions next week along with sight reading 40 measures. I hope I do good =)

  • You do have a very nice sense of period style BUT there are several Italian diction errors. You might want to go over this with a diction coach.

  • Hey, would you mind sending me a midi of this in Bb, just a bit faster in tempo than this one? That would be wonderful.

  • I will be happy to do so. Where would you like me to e-mail the file? Thanks again for listening and commenting.

  • What an awesome counter tenor you are! I'm a counter tenor in training and that was awesome.

  • Terrific. You've got an excellent voice, technique to spare, and your interpretation is very restrained (unusual for this repertoire).

I'm learning this aria in d-minor (baritone), and would be happy to sing it half as well as you.

  • excellent! XxSarah

  • dude.....you're impressive! I'm practicing this song right now and I love it.....this is great! WHat an awesome voice!

  • If you would like a practice midi file of this aria, please specify a tempo and key and give me an e-mail address, and I will send it to you right away. Thanks for commenting and listening!

  • Awesome!

  • Molto Molto bravo, interprete grandioso del sopranismo british

  • It9s my favurite song.. Bravissimo

  • That was great!

  • Just out of curiosity, why are you singing in your garage?

    nice voice though, impressive range...

  • you have got a wonderful voice

  • w00t!? This isn't fake?

  • WOW!!! I am extremely impressed! The voice, the control, the interpretation, the trills....everything!!! That's unusual for me...I'm typically overly critical! But you are really good!!!

  • ah hey =)

this was a nice performance of this piece. bravo!

  • I'd like the midis to practice for school, I'm currently singing "Come Raggio di Sol" and "O Cessate di Piagarmi".

  • I will be happy to provide the practice midi files. In what key would you prefer them? Also, where would you like me to e-mail them? Thanks for listening!

  • HOLY CRAP THAT WAS AWESOME! I am singing that song today for my solo in school. Thank, this video helped.

  • thank you so much for posting this. it's clear and lovely. i needed it to make sure i was singing it right. my vocal instructor assigned it to me because we were working on vowels and well, i forgot some of the tune to the last parts. however, i am singing this from the mezzo-soprano/alto book. :]

  • Thank you for your kind words. If you would like a practice midi, just tell me what key and where to e-mail it.

  • wow! This is totaly not what i was expecting! I'm doing this today solo ensemble, a big solo contest... and i was just looking for a version of this song that starts on a low d to practice with... and you looked like a bass... not a soprano! Amazing, koodos

  • If you need a practice midi file of this aria, just tell me what key and where to send it. I'll e-mail it to you right away! Thanks for listening.

  • You did awesome! I'm practicing it in F and I would love to have a midi file of it. Thank you very much

  • Hi Dude!

Awesome voice, it really surprised me!

I am currently working on that song, but actually for bariton, i would never reach tunes like you do.

I´ve some constructive comments: i noticed that you sometimes kinda press your voice from above. i think this is a result of your breathing technique. try not to brath with your chest but with your stomach. this is a common breathing technique, which is easy to learn. im pretty sure your voice would even sound more awesome then!

    cya

  • i really enjoyed listening to you sing that song. i also loved your trills. thanks for the great performance.

  • counter tenors rule! absolutely amazing ornamentation!

  • isn't it CONTRA tenors?

  • Wow. Never too late to start a career, Sir. You're amazing. You totally have your place on stage, and with your appearance, you could play kings, etc. Kudos.

  • I'm learning this song...in a lower octave ha for my voice class and so thanks for having this video on here it helps me learn

  • Dude, seriously I cannot believe your voice... that was amazing. wow.

  • Thank you so much for your kind words! Viewers like you encourage me to post even more.

  • complimenti all'esecuzione in tutti i video!

  • Ace ! I don't remember, did you breing your voice in public already or is it a hobby ? If not you definitely should.

  • Other than the occasional opera gala where I can pick my own aria, I have most often sung tenor in public. In any case, I am largely self-taught, having studied voice for only about four months during college thirty three years ago.
