  • OMG...... no words can describe that.

  • I love red fish. That's a lot of fish, fish I'd love to have on the end of my line.

  • Thats a cool video! Yall check out my redfish insanity video I just posted from Pensacola Bay

  • i would nut in my pants if i could start fishing in a school of red fish like that

  • Nice school of redfish, also was surprised to see a cobia at 0:03, one of my favorite fish to eat

  • @aquahunter Those look like jack crevelle, or amberjack. Not cobia

  • @Guitarplayer219 at the 3 second mark, you catch a glimpse of the cobia

  • Awsome

  • hard-on...

  • This is a dream

  • Omg where's this at?

  • Amazing video, fishing for these guys in Indian River backwaters in FL is an awesome experience. I've been catching them almost daily now that the jet ski is back in the water.

  • redfishing in NC is the best.....biggest red ever caught......NC

  • @tinytimme # 3 fishing spot in the world venice lousiana

  • Haha, I was on the phone with a friend and said "Uh...Those aren't redfis--HOLY SHIT"

    She thought something serious happened.

  • WOW what time of year was this taken? im guessing early to mid fall?

  • That is way bad ass ! I was always curious how they school in depths of 20 foot. I'm amazed !!! Kudos to the person that caught this on tape. Saltwatersoul 4 Life !

  • damn thts awsome, how deep where you

  • awesome video

  • Awesome site. I've seen Redfish this size in a school in Mosquito Lagoon 40"+ Reds all bunched up tailin in 2 foot of water. Landed 4 of them, all over 40". The school was 200 strong.

  • I guarantee I can catch redfish all day if i can just find them. I've got the perfect lure. cotton cordell wally diver

  • all the reds and everthing are headed down here to galveston for clean water no oil here

  • Now they are soaked in Oil and gasping for their last breath

  • @johnex3303 Give me a break...I hope you're joking.

  • All fish are pearls of nature.

  • red fish

  • Thanks for fucking shit like this up BP!! You did what Katrina couldn't do to me!!

  • @dedwards0117 As easy as it is to sit back on Youtube and blame other people, unbelievably, there ARE still hundreds of thousands of fish in the ocean...

  • @dedwards0117 the redfishery in la. ms. and tx. was not even close to damaged, the redfishing in the marshes has actuall been some of the best its ever been.

  • @dedwards0117 BP sucks ass

  • nothing like the size of those schools in the old days. fish populations continuing to decline, worldwide.

  • @stybarrow

First of all... Drum populations are higher than they have ever been due to the fact that you're not allowed to keep any of these fish. In the old days every single one of them were kept and eaten. I hate people like you who just go around making depressing, cynical, comments which are not true. What good does it do anybody to be like " oh well, everything sucks, the enviroment is fucked, oh well" God damnit shut the fuck up

  • @stybarrow tell ya what, keep an eye on the cost and variety of seafood at yer local grocery store in the years ahead. restaurants are already pulling orange roughy, swordfish, sea bass from menus. sorry if the truth hurts you, but the truth dont care what your feelings are.

  • i love reds they fight like demons lol. the ones that are just at legal size or not much bigger, were made for the grill.

  • damn

  • nice, where was this at??

  • Redfish love those grassy areas. Catch you some finger mullet and wade out by any grassy area early in the morning or about 1or 2 hours before the sun goes down. Work the grassy shoreline and you can't miss. You can see them chasing the bait fish until sun down!

  • i liked them jack at the beginning as well

  • Came across one huge school yesterday at the lower laguna madre... caught a 36'' n 32'' first time in my 25 yr life. Power Pro line made it an ease...

  • You should use a pompano styled double hook setup with a 1 to 4 ounce weight depending on the current then use old stinky shrimp 1 1/2'' to 2'' inches long. (only the tail side) and then cast your rig about 30' to 40' out past the waves breaking in the ocean. Then do 2 full turns on the rod every 7 to 10 minutes.

That should help every one who just can't seem to catch that monster RedFish.

    Here is your answer INZENDIO.

  • bull reds offshore or in the passes ,mullet,FRESH BLUE CRAB, eating size in the marsh on GOLD SPOONS ,PLASTICS with #4 gold spinner rig and tide

  • nice video

  • whts good techniques on catching red fish, can someone send me a comment

  • fish the bottom, steep drop offs or a grassy shoreline, preferably a grassy point that extends way out, use anything with the color combinations of red/yellow/gold... big flashy noisy baits... baby crabs work good, but anything works if their hungry you just gotta find where their at... i have watched my grandfather cut off a piece of his white T-shirt in the shape of a long triangle, stick it on a hook an catch em...

  • inzendio One OF THE BEST THINGS TO USE IS LIVE SHRIMP, SQUID, AND A VERY BIGHT LURE

IF U FISH ON SHORE ITS KINDA DIFFICULT BUT U USE A BOAT U CAN SEE SCHOOLS OF REDS SWITCHING ON THE TOP. AND USE A STRONG LINE FROM 20 - 30

  • dude those are redfish are u guys retarded. u can see thier spots at like 1:50. i think tht the man who operates tomeks guide seervice knows his shit man

  • ima get me some gold spoons and pinfish.

  • Wow. Just...wow

I only need to catch 1 of those to make my day

  • That was amazing

    where was this filmed

  • @KYak222

    Dauphin Island,Al

  • @bayourat15

Aug 2006 off of the West End of Dauphin Island

  • where was that?

  • I sure don't see any horse-eye jacks, kid. I do see the jack crevalles. Start watching the close-ups at 1:54 . You will notice a big black dot on the upper tail. That, my friend, is a redfish (or red drum). And so is the whole school of them. Except the jack crevalles.

  • those are horse-eye jacks and crevalle jacks

  • oooo

    lets go fishing!

we're sure to catch something! lol

    anybody wanna come?

  • This is in Port Mansfield, TX..

  • that is alot of red fish were was it

  • f u ever see a real school of reds it wll be one of the most surprising things ull ever see.

  • Where was the video taken?

  • Now thats a sweet video finally !!

  • only prob is those jacks will hit your lure/bait way b4 it even gets to the reds... There kinda like body guards for the prez. They take the bullet.

  • also at 0:1-0:7 are jacks.

  • Bobster, look at 0:36 at the bottom left corner of the school. That's called a Jack Crevalle. They get up to about 5 feet long and 40 lb but most are about 2 feet long. They create loud feeding frenzies, driving Silversides, Mullet, and Glass Minnows up againsed structure and tear them apart like Bluefish. Catch them with strips of Mullet and lures like Spoons, Plugs, Poppers, and Bucktail Jigs. Whos cutting toes off now, nark.

  • who ever said those are jacks should have there toes cut off

  • what are you trying to sound funny?no..not funny. not funny at all.

  • @bobster009 your an idiot...there sayin theres also a school of jacks in there

  • jack crevavle travel with soawing and schooling redfish offshore and in the ship channels, and mostly redfish buddy.

  • Most of those are Jacks.

  • nope. most of them are redfish. some of them were jacks.

  • I think i saw 12 jacks in that whole fukin video Tiger.... not MOST

  • thats pretty crazy but i was fishing on the laguna madre off the texas coast and saw this exact size school in about 4 feet of water, so we casted out there and immediatly had 3 hooked up at the same time, all oversized but by the time we got them unhooked the school was already out of sight.....the most incredible thing i have ever seen on the flats.

  • They were moving offshore to spawn and this is what they look like.

  • they taste like shit

  • what they taste good

  • you must not eat a lot of other ocean fish. these taste like poop

  • Redfish is some amazing meat! You must just suck balz at cooking.

  • @goodboy225 i hate filleting them once they reach around 27" cuz their scales aren't fun to cut through once they get that size and larger :/

  • wow that is really really beautiful.... i would love to throw my line in there

  • "Beautiful."

    Kevin I

  • i'd give anything to throw my line in

  • wow i didnt know redfish swam in schools

  • Of course they swim in schools, how do you think they learn to avoid a lot of people's fishing lines...LOL

  • hahaha how old r u 2..... DOOCHBAG!!!!

  • douchebag.....fail....

  • obviously holled up in a west coast spring. Homossassa or Kings bay would be my first two guesses.

  • no this is in the gulf of mexico south of Mobile, taken by the University of South Alabama Marine Sciences Vessel. They were tagging red snapper and saw this on Sonar, and dropped their ROV down there!!!!

  • I'd like to see how long a blue crab lasted thrown into the school...

  • HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!

  • *grabs rod*

  • Ha. Id say the limits are working. Thats awesome!

  • that's a SMALL school compared to the BULLS in Mississippi Waters. Every Aug/Sep the water turns golden with MILLIONS of them spawning. And I'm talking MONSTERS not PUPS. One Bull per person is all you are allowed. You can't possess them in Fed Waters either.

  • mmm... that looks awsome!!

  • I hope I find them as thick this weekend!

  • i just went fishing yesterday and i caught 3 monster reds but i lost them all with my stupid 50 pound line

  • @8335905 if you cant land a red on 50 lb line...you got some issues

  • @huntfishtx i laNDED a red on 8 pound line lol

  • Are they spawning?

  • the first fish u c r jack craveles (i dnt kno how 2 spell it) they have yellow on em and have big heads there are a few traveling wth da reds. but any way this is an awesome video!

  • that cool make a big vfw fish fry

  • Sweeeeeeet....wish that was in my backyard....nothing better than blackened redfish

  • Fantastic redfish video!!!

  • man i wana go there

  • That is just awesome.

  • holy jeeze thats a huge school of redfish and those jacks were pretty big too they will give you a fite to remember :D

  • awsome
