my grandpa and uncle saved the ppl inside of their. There Don George and Bryan George. Bryan heard a crash and told my grandpa to get up. They thought it was coming from Aurora but they saw it was that house. They were givin awards by the City of Kenosha. I saw them and they were awesome!
Everyone should be lucky this wreckless pilot didn't kill anymore people than he did. Wonder how the civil case is going since his estate is being sued by his deceased girlfriends family.
I live really close to you guys, just on the other side of the park. That day was insane. I remember waking up and seeing a ton of helicopters and I drove down there with my parents. It was really crazy.
I do not want to cause controversy. Talking with this man's flight instructor at the local brotherhood I was told he (instructor) wrote to the NTSA that he would NOT sign off for this guy to get his license. The man in this video piloting the heli then went to another instructor and got his license. From the sound of it this guy was wreckless. He was not qualified to be flying in these foggy conditions and the heli was not outfitted with the proper equipment. That is NOT hear-say.
i live in peterson's golden meadows right next to white caps, when i heard about this that morning going to church from one of my friends i couldn't believe and i feel really sorry for the pilot and co-pilot that died
The people across the street saved the peoples' lives (The ones who lived in the house). The neighbors got out a ladder so the people could get out of the house.
dude used poor judgement , his estate is getting sued by the dead girlfriends family, its in the news. That dead guy sapko used poor judgement, it wasnt an accident.
Living right across from the house that was hit and being woken up from the sound of a troubled engine and only seconds later to hear the boom truely made me think later in the day about the old saying "Remember tomorrow has not been promised to us." Our hearts and payers go out to the victims family and friends. To the Wilson family, please rebuild and I will be looking forward to walking by and seeing the garage door open with the kids toys spread around again on the driveway.
there are a lot of stories out there about the couple but about them the facts we will never know Alan and Joan me and my family wish you well rest in peace my prayers go out to the family who have lost their house and the prayers that the children of Alan and Joan
The guy in the helicopter was Al Sapko a prominent business man in the Racine area. He leases property to Racine Police Dept. and they use is as their impound lot. He is also involved in the shipping of tractors built at Racines CNH plant. The other victim onboard was his fiance.
The guy with the white shirt you catch briefly is the home owner. His menality over the crash is to be commended! "My family is safe, we can rebuild the house."
Nice to know people still have great priorities in life.
Also, what is the white foamy stuff at 1:58?

What kind of helicopter was that? Was it an R-44? The rotor mast kind of resembled one but i'm not sure.

That would not drive me from living near an airport. I would love to live next to an airport. I would rebuild right there.

Miraculous that nobody in the house was hurt; unfortunate that the two in the helicopter were killed. Great video, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the video. My worst nightmare come true. I do not like living so close to the airport.
