super cool man but .. isn't it a bit slow? .. i mean like if ur in a hurry and need to go asap... u need to wait for the dash to make its check and then u know the "data" (rpm speed etc) anyway its a super ideea good job
My daily driver is E46 328i and E30 325 weekends. 328i is more responsive with Signature Motoring performance (CAI) intake kit. Installed it myself in under half hour. HP increase on the E46 is about 13.5HP for a cost of $170 or around $17 per HP gain. Best 1st performance mod to do. Other application data:
The Signature Motoring performance intake kit is only $170 and adds up to 9HP in the E46 323/325/328 and up to 13.9HP in the 330. That's about $17/per extra HP... A good value for the extra oomph.
you have to put the key in the ignition cand press the button the button on the dashboard. when is presed turn the key to contact(when the electrical things on the car are turned on). when you do that the computer makes a dashboard test. if you play like than you can see that you can change the language, celsius to faranheid, or km to miles.
I don't know how to do it on a BMW but Ford has a similar test mode on their instrument panel. On any 99 and above year models with an electronic odometer, put the key in but don't turn it then hold the reset button down for the odometer and start the engine. Keep holding the button until the odometer says "test" and let go immediately. The gauges will go all the way up.

E46 forever! I love my 328i. Also I recommend the Signature Motoring performance cold air intake. Goes for about $150 and adds 9-13HP.
Can't beat the gain for the price. Fanfuckingtastic sound improvement too!
