  • @ANIKES this place is the fuckin scary road to land off in the world coz this is my homecountry innit

  • @shadows360 what's the point. if u make a small mistake here, seat belt aint gonna do shit.

  • i want to go there at least once in my life

  • Better clap , landing goes wrong u all dead lmao

  • are the throttle controls above the pilot's head or what else is he holding during the landing??

  • @Danioabyss Sorry, I can't tell you for sure, but I suspect so.

  • @mikeelcock Yeah they are. There are plenty of videos from the cockpit of a twin otter landing at Lukla.

  • @Danioabyss Yes, the throttle controls are above the pilot's head.

  • @Danioabyss Yes! these are Throttle controls.

  • @Danioabyss Yeah i'm pretty sure the Twin Otter's throttles are up high

  • @Danioabyss Yes sir he has his hand on the throttle

  • @Danioabyss those are the throttle and also the pitch levers, that is a twin otter ,notorius for that config......

(I'm not a pilot, just an aviation entusiast. if you want to see layouts of inst panels ,just google it.

  • @Danioabyss Yes, those are the throttle controls. That's where the DHC-6 Twin Otter (this plane) has them.

  • @Danioabyss

    They are the throttle controls.

  • @Danioabyss Yes these are the throttles. Most of the planes that land there are Twotters (Twin Otters) and the throttles are in the Overhead panel.

  • @Danioabyss Yes, those are the throttles, many DeHavilland aircraft as well as smaller aircraft such as this so indeed utilize a ceiling mounted throttle level, as it's easy for the airplane manufacturer to route wires, as the engines are up on the wings. This means that the throttle wires go directly straight back to the engine, instead of going underneath the passengers, the up the wing and into the engine area.

  • @Danioabyss yes throttle, props controls and condition levers are on the overhead panel

  • @Danioabyss ejection seat trigger? : )

  • @Danioabyss yes are the trottles..

  • @Danioabyss It's the Throttle controls he's holding.

  • @Danioabyss Yes!! the throttle control of this planes (dhc-2) are over the pilot's head

  • @Danioabyss Its a twin otter - so yes :P

  • is there any other way to reach Lukla by boat, train, car or whatsoever.....

  • @22871987 you can walk but it would take forever.

  • wow theyve survived!

  • lol

  • i flew business class to lukla!....

  • There was a recent TV documentary in the UK on the world`s ten most dangerous airports-Lukla came top ! (although given today`s broadcasting standards, they probably got the idea for the programme from watching these vids anyway)

  • i think Lukla is world's most dangerous a'port . m i right ?

  • @deepakwelcomes Id honestly have to say Saba and even St. Barth's as well!.. Saba most dangerous in my books.. Shortest commercial runway in the world with cliffs on the ends.. 1050ft landing distance!

  • @cutasscrew But at least there's a go round option, unlike Lukla

  • Not much room for the flight attendents to move around the beverage tray!

The open cockpit door is pretty cool. When I was a kid, in like 1970, I could go up front and get a tour of the 727 cockpit while we were in flight. That was a huge thrill for me. That's one of a million innocent pleasures destroyed by fananticals. It's a shame my kids can never have the same experience.

  • They are happy that they are alive :))

  • they r sitting down.cool

  • @ANIKES LOL

  • Those seats that close together looks mighty unconfortable. Just sayin...

  • no seats ??

  • @roryj123ok We are sitting down, although it doesn't look like it!

  • @roryj123ok HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

  • @roryj123ok hahaha!

  • @MrMilan555 yeah brother .. jai nepali jai gurkhali haina ta?

  • yup man always....

  • standing room only

  • WTF are you talking about? I don't see anyone standing...

  • I'm glad I don't have to clean the seats!

  • ninth

  • There are no aborts at that airport. You have to know that it's a possibility greater than at every other airport in the world that you could get killed landing there. Just nuts...

  • Yep unless they can somehow pull a hard sharp turn without stalling, then you either land or crash into a mountain

  • what you mean is a canyon turn if i remember correctly, as i understand it a canyon turn is when the aircraft drops full flaps and does a steep turn at just above stall speed. common in bush flying (as ive been told)

  • sixth

  • fifth

  • fourth

  • Looks like they are staying in the aircraft

  • second
