I think it is great to know that there are other ex-JWs out there that understand and care about other people that were tricked just as they were. Because when you leave everyone you knew is lost to you, and many non-JWs do not understand. I knew many apostates that were truly hateful! Problem is they assume that if you stay in JW, that you do know truth (even though you may say F words & refer to "being a Jehovah"; would you regard a person as a christian if he says i am a Jesus),or they assume if disfellowshipped it means you do wrong. So many ARE cut off as guilty who did no wrong & cut off by the actual guilty. As with king David this happens for YEARS. It's safer to walk off for years & come back than to be disfellowshipped & demanded you come back to grovel to the liars.
Truth is truth, has nothing to do with hypocricy in behavior. You ask if truth has been found elsewhere. Note how the JWs add the words "other" to things in the rest of Col 1. But all other bibles do not have the word "other." And so if Jesus is not a thing he is God. But hey they deceived you, its not your fault

Problem is they assume that if you stay in JW, that you do know truth (even though you may say F words & refer to "being a Jehovah"; would you regard a person as a christian if he says i am a Jesus),or they assume if disfellowshipped it means you do wrong. So many ARE cut off as guilty who did no wrong & cut off by the actual guilty. As with king David this happens for YEARS. It's safer to walk off for years & come back than to be disfellowshipped & demanded you come back to grovel to the liars.

A cult always has to have people on the expectation of some divine desaster or final judgment where a cruel god is going to torment or destroy the rest of mankind, not those in the cult. @DeeStinger1 Read Zechariah 11:10-13. It plainly says that Jehovah was sold out for 30 pieces of silver...yet we know that Jesus was sold for that amount: Conclusion? Jesus is Jehovah! Also Zechariah 12:10 states "They shall look up ME (Jehovah) the one they pierced and mourn for HIM...this at Armageddon. Jesus said the same text about himself in Rev 1:7 I decree that the JW organization shall cease to exist in Jesus' name! It is done!

Ur theory that Jesus is fully human and fully god is flawed, if he was fully god he would not have been limited. How did he say talk to himself when he was baptised, you know the scripture "this is my beloved son etc" If Jesus was god, why would god lie to us and say he was his son? @MrOribear Seems like you cant understand English I guess. You make an assertion: first born means first born to you. But in the other place where that same Greek word is used, Jer 31:9, it means not the first born but preeminent one. As Christ is just that.
Note how the JWs add the words "other" to things in the rest of Col 1. But all other bibles do not have the word "other." And so if Jesus is not a thing he is God. But hey they deceived you, its not your fault

@abrook888 And as usual, JWs take a passage out of context and run with it. If they had read further down to Col.1:18 they would see that Paul was clearly talking about the pre-eminence of Christ. Likely the watchtower STOPPED at 1:15, then went on to drill into them that Jesus was created. In a way as you said, Its not their fault. But after 118 years of missing the target on their predictions, I think I'd owe it to myself to do some serious research on that religion, being my soul is at stake

David wasn't the firstborn son of Jesse, but he was the eighth and youngest. He was firstborn of kings in that he was preeminent, superior. Jesus was firstborn over all His creation in the scense that he was one with right to rule, supreme over, the preeminent one as you said. Still some won't accept. It goes against what has deen drilled into them.

Can Jesus be both the Son of God and God or are the two identities mutually exclusive? To reflect biblical theology we must say that Son of God must imply deity. Dogs beget dogs, carrots beget carrots, and humans beget humans. If Christ is begotten of God, what would that make Jesus. The very phrase only-begotten son of God demands the deity of Jesus.

@MrOribear Even I don't know everything anyways. None of us do. Many facts come after the fact by revelation of the Holy Spirit. I think I know what's important for salvation sake. If there be any question in my mind that I think is reallly important I simply pray and ask for revelation. Like Matt 7:21,23. That baffled me coz I figured He knew EVERYONE. I prayed. He told me "you don't know the child who was never born into your family" meaning they weren't Born Again, so He didn't know them.
