  • "And your Lord taught the honey bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men's) habitations; Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. (Surat an-Nahl (The Bee), 68-69) this is what the quran says please think about them , be muslim be among the one who prospers

  • Hi I also make vids on beekeeping, Why do expertvillage only do crap stuff ? I mean there seems to be no real info coming from them. I looked for stuff on cars and it's the same there.

    Common try harder.

  • nice

  • wow 138,797 videos so... If I subscribe

  • I come back to your video. I like seeing as well as listening. Very good video. Thank you for all the work and dedication to the bees and helping us learn as well...

  • Do bees need more brood space if the colony grows? and if so, would the beekeeper need to add on another brood box?

  • This is a dishonest, corrupt, amoral, immoral, lying, deceitful, false, untruthful fraudulent, corrupt, unfair, insincere, mendacious thing to do, Bees should search for their feed from natural trees, not man made feed.

Be ashamed of yourself. You are a corrupted man.

You should keep yourself away from Beekeeping.

  • @gabriel221050 and dogs and cats should eat other live animals. Unless you live in a cave in the mountains and wear fig leaves you are in no position to judge other people. Most of the products you use on a daily basis require oil and look at how your use of those products contributed to the destruction of much life in the Gulf of Mexico.

Unless someone is intentionally being cruel to other life, light up a bit please. I've seen many animal activists that are evil mentally unstable people.

  • @green2lean

    Holy crapola! XD

everyone should be nice to each other! I mean if you take steps, big or small that help reduce greenhouse gases and improve the environment, good for you...

Beekeeping is good, it helps propagate the bee population that is on the decline.

  • @hop1pop, I agree. I was defending this man against the previous comment that I responded to. I think you're preaching to the wrong person. My whole point was lets not judge each other.

  • @green2lean

    lol, Woops!

    XD

  • @gabriel221050 what....the hell are you talking about. he's showing you what a langstroth beehive is composed of. nothing else. you're an insane person. you should keep yourself away from the internet.

  • HE looks like a busy bee : 0 )

  • I really appreciate that this guy takes his own time to help us newcomers to beekeeping. Keep doing videos Thanks

  • iiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnntttttttttteeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeesssssssssstttttttttiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnngggggggggg vvvvvvvvvviiiiiiiiiiddddddddddeeeeeeeeeeoooooooooo ---------- CAIN CAIN CAIN CAIN

  • The info box said:

"Learn how to construct your own wooden bee hives"

This did not teach me how to construct anything!

    LAME!!!

  • @BirdOfParadise777

I bet you didn't read the subtitles!

    X-D

  • Nice dont stop making videos

  • @Tickets825164 ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME !!!

  • He left out 1 item,if you add" supers" in order to aquire honey, you must add a "Queen Excluder" between them, this keeps the Queen from laying eggs in the upper Boxes or (Supers). HEHEHE. :-). I Just Love Bees!!.I been a BeeKeeper for 20yrs,and i never grow tired of them.. D. :-)

  • Queen excluders are not necessary to run a beehive, they are just helpful (a lot). All you really have to do is switch the two brood boxes every once in a while to trick the queen into thinking she can just keep moving up forever. Nevertheless, I do like excluders because they are helpful.

  • any one know were to get a queen bee to start a hive?

  • I think you could try Buckingham Palace, no there are people that specialise in these things.

  • I say great video

  • nothing like needing a cherry picker to access your hives if you use 10 supers lol

  • comb* not come i mean

  • do you have to put foundation on the frames for them to build come i thought they make the wax in their abdomen then regurgitate it and build an octagonal comb

  • no you dont have to but the hive will be very uneven if you dont = harder to work with the bees.

  • Fantastic video..please more.

  • Thanks for taking the time to film and post this. I'm getting ready to start my first hive (first I have to put the boxes together!), so any info I can get is helpful. Thanks!

  • nothing to do with the title!

  • what?

  • These wax combs can be started by the bees. (If) You place a foundation with a drawing (impression in thin wax) of the comb in it so the bees from there (this) grow the foundation. We have an example here see.

This is the basic beehive but when it grows you need to add more room or another "super" with frames of course..

  • It is composed by (of) a floor, a birth chamber, also called a super for the queen to lay (her) eggs in and a top.

This birth-chamber has frames. He counts 8 with wax combs in them.

  • Is he saying 'comb'? They take the foundation and build the camp/comb/cap up?! I haven't got a clue what he is talking about. Can anyone out there illucidate?

  • He has a strong accent. He said COMB! I had to see this video twice to understand him!
