@matbroomfield you can't do ramps in final cut and you also get a better area for grading in after effects and can achieve a better result. the only reason you dont use after effects is straight up what you said, you think its too complicated. if you take the time to learn the program not only is it great for adding effects but taking the extra time to do so shows in your work, don't be lazy.
@kornbreadvid It's not a matter a matter of lazy - it's a matter of effort for reward. I've spent weeks learning After Effects, and I have a basic handle on how it works, but for the average video, it simply doesn't justify days of exra editing and rendering just for a few hundred viewers. Not hating, but it's not obvious in your (nice) vids what you've done with After Effects that couldn't have been accomplished in Premiere.

Excuse me asking but what did you use After Effects on this vid for that you couldn't accomplish in Final Cut?
I stay away from After Effects because it's too complicated and just adds a whole extra stage or stages to the edit.
I have accomplished some pretty good effects in Premiere though, which will be in my bamboo sk8 documentary coming next week. See what you think.
