Never understood how people can complain when an artist goes back to their old or original sound after changing things up for a couple albums. This is vintage 3DD and as someone who's been a fan since the beginning, it's great to have this sound back. They went the harder rock route for a bit but they are KNOWN and POPULAR for the soft, smoother rock that still has a great guitar riff and is crazy catchy......such as Kryptonite, When I'm Gone, Away From The Sun and Let Me Go.

This song is rather disappointing, its so generic. I love 3DD, The Better Life will forever be one of my favorite albums but this song just would not fit with that album which imo is the album that epitomizes 3DD. Really hope there is nothing else like this on the new album or I'll be kind of pissed that I actually bought it.

@JEUXolim No disrespect but Kryptonite was not commercial when it first came out. I agree, these guys are awesome. The song out of this world live. It's funny, they were reinventing a style of southern rock back in 1999 but it is acceptable to most people and I think that is why you hear it in store, and so much on the radio. If any thing, I thought "When Your Young" sounded a little country. Arnold did say that he was trying to bring this album to the next level though.

@danpinto321 Yea, you know what I don't think kryptonite actually was commercial really, I mean the live version is just brilliant, better than the studio version in my opinion. But there have been 2 or 3 songs which are commercial. What I love is that 3 Doors Down keep the same writing formula, they will always be a 'rock' band which I like. I think the new album will be great but I'm not mad about this song and their songs deserve to be on the radio.
