dont get me wrong, i really think this high singing voice matches perfectly to the way Debbie acts in this scen (!! which is so cute!!) , but still i find it strange that someone who sings so well herself agreed to be voiced over... anyway it is totaly adorable!

Debbie Reynolds had no say, whenever to be voiced over or not. this was debbies first role she is playing "Helen Kane the original Boop Oop a Doop Girl". & if you had heard debbies interview she states that this was what made her rise to fame. Helen Kane was asked to do the voice-over, its only right becuse debbie is playing Helen in the actual movie.

@tarthead This actually isn't really Debby Reynolds singing. I believe this is infamous Helen Kane whose stardom rose during the mid 20's and 30's. She is most famously known for the voice of Betty Boop.
