I can see it now a year later..on CNN..breaking news...The oceans are behaving in unprecedented ways, oceans cycles are disrupted and it is believed that the moon has shifted slightly from its orbit, but NASA says its ok they will just nudge it back with another warhead in the opposite direction....The another year later....Breaking News...Our moon seems to be coming in to the earths orbit more and more, if not stopped, will impact earth in 10 years or less, NASA unsure...LOL

Unfortunately sometimes even scientists will go ahead and let things happen even when the exact outcome is not completely understood, example the Atom bomb...No one knew for sure if the chain reaction would stop or continue to a far greater dimension that expected. Probably one of the things that can be done is to put a space station on the moon. There is some gravity, but not a great deal. Most of the structure will be beneath the surface. They need a sense of substance to even get going. They need to create some manner of bioshpere with solar energy capture that then will recycle everything. They will be lucky if they find carbon, oxygen and water available to use right away. There is very little atmosphere if any.

Have not done a lot of research on it yet, but they are acting so excited about this? Why? The one article i put up said they might find enough water to fill a reservoir in Europe. well, it's not really a bomb, it's just a way to discover minerals, hopefully ice and the geology of the outer layer. all that is key to putting people there for extended periods of time.

a tiny explosion is far cheaper than digging, plus we'll learn more faster so i can't wait until the data starts flowing in.
