Based on a true story!! just watched the film, i think that all governments, local governments and the police are corrupt. Katheryn Bolkovac is one of the bravest women for bringing this out into the open. It shows how much corruption there is when she has to go to another country to get this heard and action taken!!!!

if this follows the book (like it should) then it's a 'must watch'. The book isn't all about the war in Bosnia but how DynCorp (a company that is still going today) covered up it's part in human trafficking and prostitution. How this could happen in a country that was recovering from a 'sick' war I will never understand.

This is one of those few movies with en ensemble which is truly an all star cast working to the best of their powers namely because actors like this one were not that well known at the time they were working on this film and took advantage of their opportunity at fame. Yeh, nice movie, great story, but big mistakes...like the fact that sometimes the Serbs speak in Romanian. I know the film was shoot in Romania, but still, we are a different people from the Serbs and we speak a quite different language!
Film was recorded in Bucharest Romania, everything look much poorer and darker than it was really, those Police cars in movie, Bosnian police never used them, they have VW vehicles, not Romania Dacia, or what ever is that. But story is true, if Russians and Ukranians knows what Serbs did with theirs girls not just in Bosnia, but also in night bars in Serbia, they will nuke them. Almost all in UN visited those bars, many Serbs become very rich because of that.
Story is great, but shooting of the film is not quite so good. It is true story and that sex scandal is much bigger than movie show that. It was all over the Bosnia, Serbs owners of the night bars around the Sarajevo and all over socalled Serbian Republic in Bosnia, Eastern Europeans girls, not local girls, and all UN personal used that. It is so big, that you will not believe that, how big and it must go to the top of the UN, even UN Canadian general McKenzie used this kind of the "service".

Shame on DynCorp! ...Know that none have been prosecuted after this, and that the companies involved continued getting contracts (even more than before). Donald Rumsfeld had to answer for this in court, but of course nothing happened. There is also evidence that the UN tried to cover up the whole scandal...

LOL what a joke to make this so atypical and isolated.. this kind of stuff STILL happens to this day, and it involves mainly US (and international) officials at the highest levels of power in politics & the military industrial complex-- who do even worse things than this (if you can imagine). things involving the rape and torture of CHILDREN and BABIES!!! why don't they make a movie about that?? the closest thing revealed to this was the banned 1994 documentary 'conspiracy of silence'.
