Eric Carr - One of the best drummers I ever heard was what was more dedicated to KISS. The Carr had the soul of KISS and was the only non-original that had as much charisma as the original.

For all the cry babies, unfortunately Eric Carr is no longer with us, Peter Criss is the original but let's face it, he cannot do it anymore. Eric Singer is a fuckin great drummer so he is the best alternative. Criss was a good drummer in KISS but Singer gives them a lot more punch. Criss is over, sad but true.

This shouldn't be an Eric Carr vs. Eric Singer debate. Singer's style is very similar to that of Eric Carr's. And both rock. Though I did enjoy Eric Carr, Singer was a natural choice to continue with KISS. One thing tho, Singer did the flaming drumsticks with Alice Cooper on the "Brutal Planet" tour, too. Check it out on the "Brutally Live" DVD.

Peter Criss might be the original member and I respect that. However, talent speaks louder than opinions. It's clear that Eric Singer has more chops, better creativity, and is well respected amongst the drumming community. Easily said, he is the best drummer KISS ever had!

Tommy Thayer was also a session musician for kiss back in the later 70's. So, when Ace wouldn't show up because he was too fucked up, Tommy recorded his parts. Also, when Kiss did their reunion tour with the original members, Tommy had to teach Ace some of the solos that he forgot.
