You're drinking the Extra Stout, that's a different beer from the Draught Stout that you get in bars and restaurants.
A dark beer like that should be drank about 50 degrees, not ice cold. The darker the beer, the warmer it should be drank. If you drink it too cold, you lock up a lot of the flavor.
Yeah, that particular Guinness is contracted brewed in Canada. I think the Guinness Draught Stout is only made in Ireland
I was a bit wrong about it not being a beer. It's known as a dark beer but usually called stout. The main difference is that some of the barley in Guinness is roasted to give the dark color and different taste (and not fermented), in regular beers the barley isn't roasted.

Guinness is Irish and it's not actually a beer it's a stout. It's one of my favorite drinks but it can be a bit of an acquired taste!
