Bleh, I don't think I like that GTM-R. It looks too kitcar-ish IMO. Also, what's with its top speed? A base C6 Vette could probably go faster than that.... maybe the car is geared for good acceleration instead? :/

It uses a Porsche Transaxle so the fearing doesn't match the revs of the Corvette V-8 engine. Its only a 5 speed, not like the 6 speed in the C6. There are some that are using rebuilt gearboxes with a long final-drive, but then the acceleration is compromised.
