  • my great great grandfather was on the titanic and died but i never met great great grandma either

  • the song in this video was changed !!! what's the name of previous song please !! ='( ??

  • wonderful ship ...

  • Amazing, and I am so grateful for the long hours that went into making this rendering. THANK YOU!!

  • Please, what is the name of the song playing in this video?! I'm crazy behind her and not think ...

  • Neat vid!! That was really cool, as close as the rest of us mortals will ever get to seeing what that great ship would've looked like! (Could've left the iceberg :( part out tho.) One thing though, did I see smoke coming from that 4th funnel?

  • song called?

  • Respect or the animators and modellers in the early 30's

  • @Waaop what do you mean 30's?

  • At 1:23 there is a mistake hehehe, the Promedade deck wasn't yet enclosed. But I love the video itself, it's an amazing animation

  • what movie is this?

  • 1:53 ANIMATION?

  • @mrdrachenfeuer1 every thing is an animation....colour movies were first used arround 1935

  • Comment removed

  • @mrdrachenfeuer1 of course not

  • @sanderrodijk but in the film titanic is in some puts a model

    (wikipedia)

  • @mrdrachenfeuer1 yep. Today's software can do a lot hey? :) I'm studying this field, trust me, 3D is magic

  • movie please

  • ...did you know: that the 4th funnel was NOT attached to the boilers and merely attached to give the illusion of a larger ship??

  • what is that hole in the very top of the bow?????

  • @seanseng61 I think its a light..

  • Thomas Andrews wanted To build the Titanic with a double skin and he also wanted sufficent lifeboats fitted but he was prevented from doing so by Ismay who wanted the ship built very quickly and at the lowest cost, she was designed by an Irishman, built by Irishmen but sunk by another mans greed. If the ship had her double skin would she have sunk?, I dont know , but I do know that a lot more people would have lived if there had been sufficent lifeboats as Andrews wanted. Greed sank that ship.

  • after RMS Titanic and HMHS Britannic sank, RMS Olympic was the only surviving sister :(

  • At Min 1:27 is a big error titanic looks like olympic by the Lunch

  • @DJMarioV8 i know...seems everyone makes that mistake

  • @sanderrodijk Its not mistake. Titanic did look like Olympic at her launch. The style of the windows got changed later in the fitting docks.

  • @sanderrodijk Actually to be honest it looks like Britannic cause when Titanic was launched she didnt have the enclosed promenade deck until her fittings........So it looks like the Britannic!!!!!!

  • @DJMarioV8 How does it?

  • @DJMarioV8 Titanic doesn't look like Olympic on that CG reconstitution, and that's the problem ! Here, the ship appears as it was after March 1912 and the refit which enclosed the forward part of A Deck. When Titanic was launched, she looked exactly like Olympic. Except for the painting of course !

  • @DJMarioV8 Not really. When Olympic was launched.Olympic was painted white.

  • @DJMarioV8 Yea...she looks like Britannic in the clip. 'A' Deck promenade wasn't enclosed until final outfitting.

  • This is a lovely compilation. What a grand lady she was!

  • Can someone please tell what these scenes are from?

  • what is this footage from?

  • actually the fourth funnel was a air intake shaft for the boiler room

  • wow this is very neat!

  • I read in an article that in April 2012, 100 years sense the Titanic sank, that they will be revealing a Titanic II (2) cruse ship in route with the same course as the original Titanic, but I bet it's just a rumor. Would be cool though.

  • @FyiGpps they are but not a titanic 2 some one chartered a ship to do it they will stop over the wreck the night of the sinking

  • @FyiGpps Well thats complete fantasy. No one would ever do that + the Docks where Titanic and her sister ships were built isnt making any new ships atm and hasnt made any for several years.

The actual docks that Titanic and Olimpic (maybe britanic) are still partly present in Belfast docks to this day.

  • the chimney color confuses me... isn't the red supposed to be yellow?

  • It's known as the "White Star Buff".

  • ^ ^ ******

  • Thank you for getting back to me with the music title and artist.

    Martone

  • I really do wish the White Star Line remained British owned, the United Kingdom really knew how to build superb Ocean Liners, that greedy asshole J.P. Morgan wanted to own absolutely eveything, even Cunard isnt British owned like it had been for the past 100 some years

  • This is an impressive video. Would you please be kind enough to tell me who composed the music?

  • dont know., just picked one. youtube blocked the original soundtrack do to copyright sjit

  • lovley film but you know the engine, its ever so clever how they have rendered it into the engine room scene, it is actually a Sheffield steel mill engine, and if you think im wrong the identical scenes are in Fred Dibnahs Industrial Age, the last program of disk one. as i said very clever and long live Brittania!

  • Thanks mate...no i didnt...

  • Gee, is this actual launch footage?? YES, I'm kidding, but it does look good. One thing I noticed though was that it shows the Promenade deck already enclosed on launch when, in reality, that wasn't done until shortly before she entered service. Pretty cool vid though!

  • Its a common know error people make, even discovery channel makes this mistakes.

Im now at a search for colour recordings of the olympic....i just know there out there

  • I can never track down what movie this is from. would you happen to know?

  • if titanic hit the iceberg straight on it wouldnt of sank its a known fact. its the strongest part of the ship

  • @LEEPAYNEUK But the bow is not sharp enough to cut through ice.

  • I can't still believe that it sunk on her first maiden voyage! The RMS Lusitania and Mauretania created the disaster, because Bruce Ismay said to the Captain to break a new ship record for the Titanic.. and this is what you get, Bruce Ismay should shame.

If he was a normal passenger the Titanic was still there as a floating hotel I think..

  • Urban myth.

  • i think if titanic didnt sink, titanic will not be very famous

    sorry about my english

  • @icanflyfaraway The Queen Mary Didn't sink, and she's famous!

  • @guitboxchicken And shes permantly docked in L.A. Was on her when I was young and the QM is a beauty of a ship.

  • @guitboxchicken Queen who ?

  • who knows the name of the first song playing?? i really want it!! =)

  • hymn to the sea :]

  • I worked my ass of to get the name of the song to!!

I only now that the voice is of Celine Dion.

  • great ship :)

  • truly a work of art, with the beautiful design of the british and the craftsmanship of the irish, truly artwork, yet such a tradgedy

  • depends how you look at that british design remark....thomas andrews was from ulster, Northern Ireland....White Star also became American owned

  • Every now and then the Home Office of Cunard hoists the White Star House Flag. They hoist it every Easter Sunday and Easter Monday when the Titanic sank in 1912...April 14th and 15th every year since 1950. And November 16th the day that the Britannic sank.

  • i give 6star for the movies

    because its a reel story

  • ein sehr guter film!!!danke fürs reinstellen!!!!

  • One thing I'm noticing however, is that the roof of the bridge here is wooden-coloured/beige. In other media, it's white. What's the correct colour?

  • Bardzo,bardzo fajny film

  • This Video Makes Me Acuatually Cry :'(

  • me too...

  • It called Cunard White Star Line is it Name but shortned as Cunard

  • No, it's just Cunard. They dropped the White Star part of the name in 1950.

  • interesting

they still call it Cunard White Star Service

    in there promo videos

  • Its White Star Service. They still use the name but as their services offered aboard.

  • Comment removed

  • What movie is this part? I want to see if I can get it on DVD...

  • Cunard Line is a division of Carnival Corp. USA. The had the the Queen Mary 2 built. Titanic like the Queen Mary 2 was British registerred but American owned. JP Morgan owned the White Star Line when the Olympic class steamers were built.

  • lol your incorrect, Cunard White Star Line are still merged. i heard that they're planning to make a Titanic 2

  • yes,me too,i heard that too,i only wish that it will be bigger than queen mary 2 heehhe

  • as do i, used to HATE Cunard, but now that i know they're still merged with White Star Line, and are now known as Cunard White Star Line i like them. i heard that Titanic 2's keel has already been laid! can't wait im going to book a first class ticket!

  • hhahahh great for u,but hey watch out maybe the history will repeat ahaha

  • was there going to be a New Titnaic Build a few years ago

  • i thought that the Cunard White Star Line was still in business and they made the Queen Mary 2

  • they made quuen mary, but not qm2

  • it looks like some of the shots were original and redone in color.

  • still! A british ship! British Design! Everything about it is British =) escept its owner which count for nothing!

  • Yes the titanic is british just like the Olympic Lusitania Mauretania Britannic Queen Mary Queen Elizabeth Queen Elizabeth ll Aquitania and all cunard and whitestar ships
  • Its very easy to do that when u stole things from all around the world. And even with that, the HOOD died in the first Bismarck Shot... Lame.....

  • i thought the ship was irish?

  • built in Northern Ireland, British!

  • Ireland is for the irish people

So the titanic and sisters are irish

  • Technically yes, same with nationalities

  • i have just found out that Britain and America both owned the Titanic as Britain designed it and built it and America bought it so the British and America both own it!

  • biggest part is british a small part of white star was sold to america, but it is also irish to cause thats were it was built

  • 3:03 is the best shot for me

  • What show is this and what channel is it on?

  • phoenix

From Germany (im speak bad english)

    phoenix

    von Deutschland

  • Titanic like the Queen Mary 2 today was British registerred and American owned. Great CGI w/only a few mistakes. The windows below the promenade deck are spaced to far apart.

  • it might have been the smoke from the rest of them going over it to make the appearance, but tahnks i was not aware that it was a ventilater

  • Wel not ventilator....dont know if ventilators excisted in 1912....what i know is the used to ventilate....

  • thats what i meant

  • Haha great ;-)

  • one question is what documentary/movie is this from

  • Comment removed

  • Ah I saw this documentary a couple of years ago when it was on TV. I loved it. However there are some innacuracies, the forward A Deck promenade wasn't enclosed when Titanic was launched, and it is here, and alos you can see the bridge has been constructed, this was not added untill after the launch.

But all in all it's a gorgeous video and a great dicumentary, shame I can't find it anywhere

  • another flaw is that there was smoke coming from the fourth smoke stack. and the real ship the fourth smoke stack was for show to make it look more impressive

  • Bear in mind that the fourth stack wasn't entirely useless; while it didn't connect to the boilers, it did connect to the coal-fired stoves and ovens in the galley, and I think it also may have connected to the fireplaces in the staterooms that had them. I'm not sure about the latter, though.

  • i believe used the fourth stack to store pets but could be wrong

  • It was a ventilation shaft for the kitchens.

  • @OlympicClassDandy

Only the Smoking Room fireplace was a real coal-fed fireplace. The rest in the ship were just decor.

  • Titanic was the best ship

  • Titanic<3 whats this music name is? Titanic is the best! I love titanic <3<3

  • titanic=MADE IN CHINA

  • The only error i can see in the whole video (very good video i will say) is the foward B Deck promenade deck is closed when during the actual launch of the real ship (i know this is not real) the foward B deck promenade deck is open just like the Olympic.

  • I can lipread, and look at 1:19 If you look closley, the guy is saying "Marvelous!"

  • christ....

  • What do you mean?

  • I mean, does anyone need or want to know that?

  • The best parts are from 3:02 to 3:05 Idk why, I love the ship at that angle.

  • EXCELENT VIDEO! VERY NICE!

  • This almost brought me to tears, Thanks for posting this.

  • good graphics

  • I know. Crazy. Now watch it again, Except at the address bar add "&fmt=18" at the end without the quotes.

  • i dont do quotes...

  • Again, Thanks for posting this, There were hardly any inacuraccies. Seldom do you find Vidoes like this anymore.

  • this video is awesome!

  • Amazing! I love it good music choice too.Titanic is awesome!! I miss that ship :(

  • ME TO :o

  • I love the opening shot!

  • Good, But some parts look too cheesey like captain smiths beard.

  • White Star Line was a British company, founded and run in Britain. America bought into the company in the latter years of the 19th century, becoming a joint adventure. But the company was still very much British. TITANIC was registered "British". Her home port was marked on her stern plate (Liverpool) even though she never actually went there (but she was intended to go after her maiden voyage return to England).

  • Just want to agree with Steam on the point that Titanic was not American. Totally Correct. She mau well have been invested by americans but this is not enought to say she was an American Ship. If she was built by Americans in an American Dock then Claim but not when she was Built in Belfest By Shipbuilders in N Ireland. It can't be any clearer.

  • i ment britesh and flag

  • also the british flag was on top because it was made i britan and the american flkag was one the botem because that was its first voyage!

  • The flag at her stern is also very telling. The Flag of White Star Line was flown at Titanics stern, The Letters T I T A N I C and below L I V E R P O O L where on her stern Very British to me would you agree? Not ever was there an american IMMC flag or Titanic and below America written under her stern so to the people who think she was an American ship please explain that and also stick it in your pipe and smoke that!

  • it was britesh

  • titanic is british because i looked it up!

  • Titanic is "british made", not "british at all", as you're suggesting. It is property of White Star Line, an american Shipping company, remember that. The flags above the hull means that it was a ship constructed by british hands to be delivered to America, her owner.

  • JP Morgans involvement was business sense not national pride for America. Titanic was not built to be handed to America it was built as the atlantic ocean was the route from americs to europe No-0ne remebers Titanic as the great American ship but because the ship was so great people want to credit themselves with it. If I own share in a swiss company does that make it part british. Chelsea fc is owned by a russian but its not thought of as russian but as a british football team Titanics the same

  • When people state that Titanic is not british then they say chelsea is a russian club man u is a american club people dont like to credit great things to britain but Titanic was not designed by an american or no americans had built her with their own hands the company it operated for was based in Liverpool but they dont state that when claiming its whole american just laugh when they state it or one day we could go over and see them celebrate their beloved Titanic thats right they dont

  • titanic was engelish!

  • Titanic was British there is a difference

  • the took this part out of the movie

  • Wow!

  • yes you do speak the truth. the 4th was simply used as an air vent, not a funnel like the other 3. the ship had 4 as most ships had 3, a 4th made it look more impressive/powerfull.

  • GÉNIAL, GÉNIAL, GÉNIAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!! Voici une représentation 100% fidèle de l'une des plus BELLES histoires de la mer!!!

  • nice vid how you make the vid not the music ...

  • It's from a documentary, I believe...

  • Note: Titanic's fourth funnel towards the stern was a dummy funnel that did not actually expel fumes. It was there only for aesthetic balance. Also, the red underbelly striping along the bottom of the ship would never have been visible above water the way they show it here as Titanic displaced over 30 feet of water (a.k.a "draught").

  • Your right.

  • Very cool. One mistake (other than the windows on A deck not being there during the launch) are the windows on B and C decks. Their placement is incorrect as are the number of rectangular 1st class cabin windows. Other than that this video is beautiful.

  • Im from Belfast and know that there wasnt any american flags on the arrol gantry when Titanic was launched so thats a mistake and also Titanic was not painted when she was launched she was painted in the tompson graving dock Olympic was painted white prior to her launch to enhance the photos. Cant understand why american flags are there on the gantry at her launch when she wasnt american and had nothing to do with america other than being a port of call

  • You would do well to learn your history. Titanic was painted black and white prior to launch. Olympic was only painted white so it would look better in photographs.

Also, Titanic and Olympic WERE owned by an American. White Star Line was bought out by JP Morgan's IMM in like 1905, so yes, there should have been American flags on the ships.

  • Im meant to say that it wasnt painted like the way it was in the clip and im pointing out alot of mistakes in this clip, White star Lines headquarters was based in Liverpool thats why it was printed Titanic Liverpool under the stern. JP Morgan and America should not be credited with the creation of Titanic. Belfast were I come from is full of History not like your country

  • JP Morgan is as much a part of the Titanic story as Ismay, Andrews or Lord Pierre. It was JP Morgan's bankroll that built the ships. White Star was decimated after the coal strike and rate war between 1900-1905.

Hey, I can understand if you dislike America (for whatever your particular reason), but don't ignore the fact that the Titanic was an American ship with an American owner, and if not for that American, Titanic would have never been built.

  • I agree with some of your statement but just because american money was invested into the bankrolling of the olympic class liners doesnt make it american. i own shares in an american company but i class it as american not part british. I took offense to the comment about shipbuilders learning their lesson, my family had worked in the yard for generations and generations my family would have been involved in building those ships and to have someone from another country state that offends

  • myself and any other person from belfast whos family had worked in the yard. Titanic was so much more than a ship here its part of our heritage. I didnt mean to offend you or anyone else but i was trying to make reference to make people understand a bit better. Having flags on something displays national pride JP Morgans involvement was financial for business sense not patriotic pride, ive never heard of america display national pride in constructing the olympic class liners

  • That is completely understandable, to be a bit offended at such a comment. While the Olympic liners were owned by an American, I will never debate that their spirits were Irish and British.

  • perhaps thats compromise thankyou for understanding i like america very much it was only a few people making that comment that i wasnt keen on, again sorry for any offense that you had felt

  • omg. i am speechless.

  • Cool Video

  • i know

i didnt make that movie you know

  • I know you didn't. I never said itr was your error

  • One error in this clip that I noticed, at 1:28 the A Deck Promenade is enclosed...this was not enclosed when the ship was launched but a feature that was added later

  • You're right.

  • I saw this documentary when it was on the TV and I am dying to find it on DVD or somewhere to watch it again, it was brilliant

  • beautiful

  • what channel is 4 as in discover or history what?i need to know

  • thats a german channel.

    its phoenix

  • Channel 4 is also a channel in the UK

  • if they build another titanic i would go

  • definetly, hopefully the captain and shipbuilders have learned their lesson

  • The captain couldnt have learned his lesson as he went down with Titanic, and there is nothing wrong with the way Titanic was built. Hope NASA has learnt its lesson with building a space shuttle. Titanic sunk cause she hit an iceberg the space shuttle exploded cause you ignorant americans didnt build it correctly!

  • Titanic sank because it's water-tight bulkheads didn't go above high enough and was built with steel that had to high a sulfer content (so it was brittle in cold water). If the bulk heads were one deck higher, it wouldn't have sunk.

As for Challenger, that was a bad O-ring being compromised by ice. Columbia blew up because it lost some of it's heat shield during the launch.

  • If you read what I was repling to with that comment you will see that an american had stated that he hoped that the captain and the shipbuilders learnt their lesson, people in belfast find that very offensive. If americans want to state that then shouldnt they start learning to build space shuttles correctly then and learn from their mistakes. I dont mean to offend but if the cap fits....

  • In any innovation there are bound to be mistakes along the way. The trans-Atlantic shipping trade WAS the space race of the 19th and early 20th century. What 'I' took offense to was that in your post you claimed (perhaps sarcastically) that the Titanic's build had no impact on it's sinking, but that the Space Shuttles blew up because of poor design. I disagree. If that were the case (in either regard), the RMS Olympic would have sunk and there would be no Shuttles. Neither is the case.

  • not from a movie

a docu from channel 4. ive edited it with only titanic shots. the docu is how titanic is build and by who and where the builders live. the first titanic victim was during construction

  • What movie is this footage from?
