  • i like the way you comment your own work. it's hilarious :D

We actually did this in high school. inside! :D

  • I don't get it. you're burning propane in order to burn wood and bark? other than getting rid of the waste material which would burn on it's own you've basically just spent money on propane to burn waste. I could understand getting all excited about it if you didn't have to use another heat source but come on, your burning wood on a propane stove.

  • correct.. you don't get it. The stove is on low, quite low and the heat value of the gas coming out is MUCH higher than the heat input of the propane. Feel free to use wood to heat the wood to make a gas you can use...and NO. the wood is NOT burning!! it is being gasified. HUGE difference

  • it is obvious by the video that what you say is correct. the blue stove flame is much cooler than the hot yellow/white/red.

  • the blue flame is MUCH HIGHER IN TEMPERATURE than the yellow flames. but temperature is NOT the amount of energy available.

  • after the wood is totally gasified, the by-product is charcoal... another heat source.

  • How long did it take before it was producing enough gas to sustain a flame? How much faster would it have been with insulation?

  • seconds is how long it took...see the video. With insulation it would of been MUCH MUCH better, but I wanted everyone to see how SIMPLE it was and that it could be done easily.

  • you should show how to convert this into electricity...

  • LOL...I am going to.. and it is already in our biomass books at our website. :)

  • could you use beer glass bottle like the alumium

  • go try it... wear glasses and protection

  • Thank you.
