nVidia beats Ati period..I am an Amd/Ati fan but statistically speaking nVidia always wins in the end. Yes a HD 5970 will beat a GTX 480 in anything Directx 10 and before. But once it gets into Directx 11 nVidia has a slight upper hand..And not to mention they are still going to release new GTX 4*** GPU's this year. But in the end theres no point in arguing over what Maker is better. Both make great GPU's either way. So stick with what you like even if its not the best at that momment.

@taltigolt Niets is right and so are you. Metro is def. the Dx11 benchmark of choice just as crysis was at DX10!. However, spening 1000k to SLI this card is stupid at the moment. You would be better to wait about a year for the price to drop 30-35% and then make your second purchase. One of these at 1080 can run Metro at an average of about 30FPS and thats fine for now. However as new tech comes out for DX11 (tesselation, etc) and you find yourself wanting to remain on top, youll have no choice!

I have 3 gtx 480 sc's If I benchmark or play bf2 when all cards hit 95%-100% usage It takes 1.002Kw system power, so a 1000w psu will work just fine, you just lose the 80+ rating once you hit 1000w,for instance the antec oc which is 1200w psu can handle up to 1750 watts as it was tested but I know the corsair 1000w will power 3, My Silverstone 1500w will go way over that, but i would blow a breaker before i maxxed out the psu capabilities, I'll make a video soon of some benches and power use
