@crysisman14 Don't be ridiculous...that's a completely different war. And, by the way, the Normans were no French, but of Norse descent...and by the time of the 100-year war, the English had Norman leaders themselves...so I wouldn't describe them as belonging to the French side.
@crysisman14 "english bastards..." Awww - A little bit jealous of the English are you..?? It must hurt real bad that you have to use their language....Or do you prefer to call it American..?? Mabye that'd make you feel better. Heh heh. Dumb arse Hispanics.
@Weston1968 Agincourt ended with a War Crime that is true! But the English defeated the French fair & square uo until that point. But the Spanish weren't involved in this battle. I was referring to the Armada!
@etelonlongbows The arrows killed the horses, the horses killed the men by throwing them from their saddles, kicking and trampling them in their death throws.. (I presume your talking about Agincourt?) Any knights surviving that were hacked to bits by the archers daggers, swords and mallets, the knights had trouble moving in the boggy ground, as most of the archers were naked from the waist down (due to a bad case of the runs) they could traverse the mud easier.
@Saxe333 In fact, in the later part of the Hundred years war, longbows could no longer penetrate the newly design steel armors of the French heavy cavalry. It was improper crowd control and the following chaos that killed the French army.
@mercedescl It couldn't go through the new milanese armour, but the blow was poerful enough to knock a man over or knock a man off his horse, it could also go through the week points, such as the neck, underneath the arm etc
@mercedescl also the archers ran out of arrows, and joined the hand to hand fighting using, pickaxes, mallets, hammers, even rocks they found on the floor to fight the frenchmen
errm no agincourt is famous because their was very few foreign troops in the english army. their wewre some at poitiers and even some at crecy but there was 98 percent of the english army at agincourt was english

There were and handful of welsh archers, but most of the army was pure English. Fucking Welsh will try and take credit for anything!

The Welsh were the Archers who saved the day at the Battle of Agincourt
nevanovna 2 years ago
it was actually the mud what killed the french knights at the battle
lxgiwylgta 2 years ago
@lxgiwylgta No the mud slowed them , it was the tens of thousands of arrows plus the axes, mallets, mauls and swords which killed them.
