The cop yells "cover me" after they loaded that guy with machine guns. The initial K9 handler refused to take part in this mess, officers fired 81 (WTF?) shots before confirming there was a threat and they KEPT FIRING after Brunston and the dog went down. Then they tend to the K9 and leave him to die.

Those saying Brunston deserved it because he was making threats are beyond stupid. He clearly wanted to be heard more than anything else, hence him asking about "getting it on camera" and how "it'll be your (the LEOs) fault". The Sheriff's F'ed up beyond belief here. The initial K9 handler refused to take part in this mess, officers fired 81 (WTF?) shots before confirming there was a threat and they KEPT FIRING after Brunston and the dog went down. Then they tend to the K9 and leave him to die.

The police were obviously clumsy and trigger happy. The biggest mistake Deandre made was to lie to the police about having a gun and threatening to use it. The mistake that ultimately cost him his life was throwing the flip flop (which he was hiding in his shirt). The fast motion looked like he was raising his arm to shoot.
