@didhereallysay : Always the best way to approach covers, IMO, is not to copy and imitate the original style but to strike a balance between what's appropriate for the song and what you're comfortable/like doing. I thought you did a good job of that here, especially in the ending.

They've said it's being considered, but they're interested in having an audition process.

You can even look on their site, where Fabio isn't listed, and they've done shows with other singers.

@RhapsodyWarrior Look on the DVD that came with the Kamelot album. You should be able to get it if you can channel the output of your DVD into the input of an audio recording software and record it.

Just a quick message - how did you get the Vocal track of The Great Pandemonium off the bonus disc?

I tried exploring the disc but the audio file shows as empty. I take it you imported it somehow?

@Starfireblack It's not on the disc as a file you can pick off. What I did is I used my DAW (digital audio workstation) to record the vocal-less version as it played in my computer's DVD drive. To do this, I switched the inputs in my DAW to my speakers' output, and then recorded the song as it came from the disc to my speakers... I'm sure Kamelot will make the contest easier to enter once they formally announce it. I had just heard they were doing a contest through a quick press release.
