haha such a bullshit!!! I had asthma and bronchites since I was 5 years old and with 15 after some years of medicine I was bored and just started smoking and you know what I am glad about it! I think I allready have that ocpd but dont care!!!! people should shut up about smoking! cause the air you inheal in northamerica and western europe is 20 times over the maximum of air toxics PLS if u know a dr. or medic working right now just ask are more people dead because of lung cancer or toxic air?
@beavisCS it might be over 20 times worse, but when youre smoking, it makes it thousands of times worse. Even if I was in a building full of running cars, with no windows, I still wouldnt say, Oh its so toxic in here anyway, might as well suck directly on a tailpipe.. u get what im saying?
I have COPD on oxygen 24 hours also have had bypass surgery, stents, and ablation on heart. I feel good. I have been on vent 5 times in 6 months but like I said I feel fine now. Its not going away but it is manageable I was greatly surprised at how well I feel when I eat right, more home grown veggies, and no fried foods. All this time i never knew food could make a difference but it really does.
my father has been diagnosed with copd...for a few months now..he is in n out of the hospital regularly and has problems breathing ..he quit smoking 35yrs ago but dr says it caught up with him..he is 68yrs old and his health is getting worse..its so hard for me to watch him like this..hope u guys dont have to go thru this one day...
I was diagnosed with copd years ago. I had a case of pneumonia and was born with bronchitis. I remember when I was a kid begging my parents not to smoke in the car. It was irritating my eyes and they kept on doing it. So I felt like if you can't beat em, join em. I started smoking and now I'm 51 and having a hard time quitting even though I'm on oxygen at night.
I suffer from Chronic Bronchitis due to allergy. It really sucks. I need to take advair and Avamys (Nasal spray) for it in order to control it. Last winter I caught pneumonia. Its really sad cuz I didnt have allergic reactions before, I didnt even know I had any allegies but I took chamomile for acne (cross-reaction with rag weed allergen) now I know and am suffering for it endlessly, ironic.
I lost my mom suddenly on Dec 26th,2007 to this COPD. She was just diagnosed 1 year before she died...once you've got it your time is limited. Yes she smoked but had quit 8 years before diagnosed...she was only 64...miss you momma!
a person that has a COPD has an ashma also.? and aside of smoking whats the other cause and reason why a person has a chronic obstructive pulmonary desease?
smoke, or ANY irritant to the lung like air pollutants, will cause increase in size and number of mucus secreting glands in the brochial tree. this leads to inflammation and fluid accumulation (edema) and that's WHY it's obstructing air flow. why is it chronic? because there's a persistent inflammatory response of the lungs.
my dad past away 5 wks with this disease and he worked in the refuge industry and dad never brought up mucus my dad was my friend and i'll miss him so much..
@leef0324uk then you seem to be the perfect candidate to help us spread awareness and information about the chemtrails and things they are already admitting to spraying the skies with, all over the world. It is a fact that harmful things are being sprayed into the air, and it is also fact that these diseases can be caused by such substances.
Im so sorry your dad passed away. Help us stop others from losing loved ones!

i started smoking about 4 days ago, and the day after i felt short of breath and for these past three days i've felt the same. i feel my lungs have less capacity of oxigen, i used bronchial dialators, but they help me just a little. can this be COPD??? if anyone know please answer, i'm worried
Its not COPD but just your body reacting to the uptake of a deadly habit. COPD may happen in the future years if you continue to abuse your respiratory system. Its not to late, STOP IT!
definitely not, smoking makes you short of breath in the short term, but COPD is a chemical change, the inhibition of alpha-1 antitrypsin which allows elastase to break down actual structural components of the lungs. Short answer, no, its usually after at least 5-10 years.
i gott sugestion for all peoples who gott lung problems ..cuz i gott to ..im using Salt pipe and helping me ..it is very popullar like HALOtherapy ,,why not to try
I know it might sound reallly crazy, but I think their a cure for asthma that does not invlove any drug, just type the word Buteyko and watch the videos
i feel that i'm going through this COPD thing...i've been coughing since 23 April 2009 this yr..and it hurts my chest within..although i'm not a smoker...i guess it due to the bad air around me is polluted..no wonder alot of climate changes in our world..i guess this is what GOD shown of anger when he is not please with humans like us..thats why we have global sickness and global warming..this is a sign of GOD warning...haiz..i don't wish to die early before marriage...
I was diagnosed by my doctor last year with COPD,and I'm 26 yrs old,and for the simple fact that people in their middle age gets it,how does someone my age gets it?
is it possible that you are a heavy smoker or your parents smoked alot around you when you were young? it could be also a no. of other factors....it can happen to anyone at any age although it isn't likely to get it younger
hi can you tell me what was your exact sign and symptoms in your condition cause i think i had also similar in your case im also 2 years old... pls reply as soon as possible
wheezing (like asthma), ongoing cough of mucus (esp. with bronchitis), shortness of breath upon exertion are common symptoms of COPD. but again, not everyone with COPD has these symptoms. it also depends on the severity. if yours is severe, your peripherals (e.g. lips, nails) may appear blue.
there is no cure and a person who has this will slowly succumb to it . it can take a long time and usually takes at least a cat scan to determine one has it . I stopped smoking 2 years ago and breathing is harder now .The purpose of the doctor is medication to help slow the process and make breathing easier but itsall temporary and probably less than 2 decades mortality .

They say "live life to its fullest, why stop now?"
Living life to the fullest extent should not include air hunger, anxieties related to shortness of breath. Activity intolerance because of no strength. How about chronic pain loaded with narcotics because of cancer that has spread throughout the body. Lastly, how about a family member sitting next to you questioning why? over your dead body, when others are celebrating christmas. That is my experience as a nurse.
Hi, I have a question my Lung collapse (pneumothorax) like 5 month ago I has surgery after 5 days on the Hospital cause i have persistent air leak on the Lung affect the Surgery name are: Right Transaxillary Toracotomy With The Resection of the Apex of Right Lung and Pleural Abrasion..But now my Final Diagnosis are Right Upper Lobe Apex: Lung with subpleural Emphysematous change and Focal Pleural Fibrosis..(THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF MALIGNANCY) but I can't Undertand was My final Diagnosis said..
As a respiritaroy therapist, we see the destruction that COPD causes. Despite the many treatments to tame the effects, nothing works better than stoping smoking now. Trust me, you do not want to go through what so many people go through just to breathe. I feel bad, but the literature is out and we have to make decisions based on that. Even cutting down on smoking is not enough. Cigs burn your cilia, the elevator to remove mucus, that gunk just sits in your lungs and rots and cakes on. Stop now
My neighbor had asthma started smoking in the seventh grade. After high school he moved up to five packs a day. By his late thirties he was getting pretty sick and cut down to over two packs a day of filtered cigarettes. He told me the doctor said filters were better but I didn't believe it. Later he switched to "light" cigarettes and went back to chain smoking.
By his mid-forties he in an oxygen tent and buying cigarettes by mail.
i watch my own mom die of this disease and it was horrible i have tryed to give up smioking and find it really hard but i have cut down from 35 40 fags a day to ten aday i will give up this disease is horrible in its worst form !!!!
Quitting smoking now greatly reduces serious risks to your health.
How about: "Quitting the refineries plants, the chemical plants, the gas & the diesel engines everywhere would certainly, greatly (& very greatly) reduce the risks of injuries to your health".
I like this one: "Staying away from hospitals will greatly reduce the risk of MRSA".
Just like Lawyers go to school to learn how to steal, so Doctors go to school to learn how to kill.
Smoking explains about 95 % of COPD. Smoking cessation is one step to more healthy and better life. You are right about staying away from hospitals. In Finland, doctors know the risks of staying too long in a hospital but the patients experience that they were not treated well enough because they were sent home so early.
A few months ago I tried to quick smoking and lasted about a month.
During that month I experienced a significant drop in my blodd pressure, cholesterol and sugar level. Also, I didn't have numbness of arms, hands, legs and feet.
On the other hand, I exprienced panic attacks, sadness without an explanation in which I would cry out of no reason at all, I had trouble sleeping, fear of close spaces (such as being in an elevator), feelings of being pesercuted. Hopeplesness. Cont.
Cont: I had feelings of anger, depression, stress, anxiety (very badly) and wanted to tell someone about this, but for fear of ridicule I didn't until I told a few family members only to hear: "Fuck off!, it's all in your head and stop bullshitting".
It was a weird experience.
I could breath better and even smell things better, but the other effects bothering me so much and seeing my friends smoking made me feel an outcast to the point I resume smoking.
i have all those symptoms you have now and extreme paranoia my mum just walked into my room and told me she has COPD and left.i feel so anxious right now and really really afraid.not only is her health fucked iv began with chest infections around the time she began, and iv now found a cyst or lump under my arm... im 19, iv never smoked at all
All I can say is please if any of you smoke quit. My mother was diagnosed in 1997 with COPD. She passed away on August 2nd and she had been on a ventilator for the last 2 years and in a special skilled nursing home where she was miserable and depressed. I miss her so much. I loved her so much. So, please again, if you all smoke, please stop.
Thanks for a great video. we would love to use video link/ref for teaching purposes only and will gladly acknowledge owner/youtube. do you know how we could get permission?
According to my Doctor I don't have COPD, however, I do have bronchitis and asthma.
At the hospital they said I had acute bronchitis while my Doctor insist I have chronic bronchitis.
I smoked for 20 years and I'm still smoking.
Two weeks ago I had spirometer test (came out ok passing all testings) and an x ray (showing I'm ok), but after helping my brother move and with so much dust exposure, now I have difficulty breathing and spitting out white to clear phlegm which don't go away.
wow in denial much?? Now its time to reep the rewards of your 20+ yrs of smoking!! Have fun with your steroids, bronchodialtors and antibiotics. Congratulations, thought you were getting off scott free? They all do.
I understand the fact that you carryout "death" at the appointed time and that it doesn't matter what we do to avoid you, specially when you're doing your job very well as the collector of the end of our dying process.
120,000 daily human deaths must keep you very busy Worldwide and I wonder if you have the time to read this, if you do, I remind you of this: "Where is thy sting?".
My destiny is to expire and resurrection, but yours..."destruction".
I got COPD from probably smoking 2 packs a day for 40 years. I have labored breathing even when I walk a short distance. Don't even ask me to work or do physical exercise.
I wonder if stem cells could regenerate lung tissue or whatever is damaged? Please hurry and investigate.
I have been sick since I was a child with lung infections. It sucks...litterly...pardon the pun....I hate getting sick all the time, and always being on antibotics....now also being on an inhaler...yes I smoke, trying to quit...under too much stress....excellent video though...thank you!!
i am screwed too i was on 6 liters of oxygen and quit using it in oct 2007 and well i am still breathing , but it hurts, this disease is not curable and having no insurance no oxygen ,,
I enjoyed your video, it was very informative. I am volunteering and wanted to know if you would like to post your video on our website: the lungchallenge . com
I have it. I am 12 and I have NEVER smoked but have inhaled second-hand smoke. I am going to Rady's Children Hospital today or tommorrow in San Diego where I live.

I had been plagued with asthma for over 50 years.
Every doctor has told me (and my daughter, who also has asthma) to use Albuterol.
We just kept puffing all day year after year.
I was in Brazil to have some plastic surgery, but the surgeon said I must see a
cardiologist before he started cutting. I would guess he did not want me to die on his watch.
The cardiologist said my heart was fine, but said I hear lots of noise in your lungs.
He asked what I have been using.

haha such a bullshit!!!

Its really sad cuz I didnt have allergic reactions before, I didnt even know I had any allegies but I took chamomile for acne (cross-reaction with rag weed allergen) now I know and am suffering for it endlessly, ironic.

melissadharyll 2 years ago
smoke, or ANY irritant to the lung like air pollutants, will cause increase in size and number of mucus secreting glands in the brochial tree. this leads to inflammation and fluid accumulation (edema) and that's WHY it's obstructing air flow. why is it chronic? because there's a persistent inflammatory response of the lungs.

Jehovah
The personal name of the only true God. His own self-designation. Jehovah is the Creator and, rightfully, the Sovereign Ruler of the universe. Jehovah is translated from the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, יהוה, which means He Causes to Become. These four Hebrew letters are represented in many languages by the letters JHVH or YHWH. Mark 1: 14 Now after John was put under arrest Jesus went into Gal´i•lee, preaching the good news of God

Its not COPD but just your body reacting to the uptake of a deadly habit. COPD may happen in the future years if you continue to abuse your respiratory system. Its not to late, STOP IT!
vannie27 2 years ago 7
definitely not, smoking makes you short of breath in the short term, but COPD is a chemical change, the inhibition of alpha-1 antitrypsin which allows elastase to break down actual structural components of the lungs. Short answer, no, its usually after at least 5-10 years.

I was diagnosed by my doctor last year with COPD,and I'm 26 yrs old,and for the simple fact that people in their middle age gets it,how does someone my age gets it?
mrssmithjr 2 years ago
is it possible that you are a heavy smoker or your parents smoked alot around you when you were young? it could be also a no. of other factors....it can happen to anyone at any age although it isn't likely to get it younger

My parents both smoked ,and I started smoking when I was 23 yrs old.
Environment can play a big factor also

twilighterweyn 2 years ago
Shortness of breathe upon exertion....I can't walk far without running out of breathe. Also coughing up mucus or dry coughing,etc.,etc.
mrssmithjr 2 years ago
wheezing (like asthma), ongoing cough of mucus (esp. with bronchitis), shortness of breath upon exertion are common symptoms of COPD. but again, not everyone with COPD has these symptoms. it also depends on the severity. if yours is severe, your peripherals (e.g. lips, nails) may appear blue.

my father i think has this disease ...and your saying there are no cure for now for this diease
and can a person die from this disease if not check by a docter
please tell me
chatoizcute 2 years ago
there is no cure and a person who has this will slowly succumb to it . it can take a long time and usually takes at least a cat scan to determine one has it .

Stop now

My brother is a chin-smoker, he won't stop smoking, i am afraid he will end up having either lung cancer or COPD
koalastephanie 3 years ago
My neighbor had asthma started smoking in the seventh grade. After high school he moved up to five packs a day. By his late thirties he was getting pretty sick and cut down to over two packs a day of filtered cigarettes. He told me the doctor said filters were better but I didn't believe it. Later he switched to "light" cigarettes and went back to chain smoking.
By his mid-forties he in an oxygen tent and buying cigarettes by mail.
Today his chest is a medical exhibit.

Someone told me that once.
argent2020 3 years ago

Cont.
argent2020 3 years ago
Cont: I had feelings of anger, depression, stress, anxiety (very badly) and wanted to tell someone about this, but for fear of ridicule I didn't until I told a few family members only to hear: "Fuck off!, it's all in your head and stop bullshitting".
It was a weird experience.
I could breath better and even smell things better, but the other effects bothering me so much and seeing my friends smoking made me feel an outcast to the point I resume smoking.
I may try hipnosis next time.

Mr. Grim,
I understand the fact that you carryout "death" at the appointed time and that it doesn't matter what we do to avoid you, specially when you're doing your job very well as the collector of the end of our dying process.
120,000 daily human deaths must keep you very busy Worldwide and I wonder if you have the time to read this, if you do, I remind you of this: "Where is thy sting?".
My destiny is to expire and resurrection, but yours..."destruction".
Have a smoke.
