  • lol? a waste of fuel!

  • I flew this in reality 2 weeks ago

  • no the shirtest is i think seatle tacoma to boeing thing also in seattle

  • @AlexisTheKingNL no, this is a real flight

  • LOL

  • thats a turbo prop, try reverse pitch, u aint got a clue ????

  • You need to check in atleast 3 hours before your flight .... lol ..:D

  • For all the people who say this flight is "pointless" try telling that to the people who live on the island who have to commute to the larger island everyday. though they could build a bridge......but thats not as fun

  • I think when Carmageton started in CA some airline had really short flights also.

  • Try Covenrty to Birmingham You're Next to it!

  • this route is absoloutely POINTLESS!

  • @decwild333 the route isn't pointless because the ferry would cost more then the flight plus they are able to get there faster and also more fuel efficient then a ferry..

  • @Pilitcam it's pointless on it's own. But if you look at the Loganair timetable you'll see that the aircraft hops through about 5 islands in a circuit, so very few people are going from one island to the neighbour. Fares are also subsidised for residents by the Scottish Government. Also look up Barra Airport (also in the Scottish Islands) where the runway is only available at high tide

  • @railotaku The flight is actually used by school children from Papa Westray to Westray.

  • also egdp is only 750ft long!!!

  • @FlightSim9Fan really wow thats short

  • try egdp portland ab

  • Is there enough time for a meal?

  • @Pilotmickey no there is not

  • @Pilotmickey LOL!

  • man thats a really short trip man you can just take a car lol!

  • If you place one 747 it will be like a bride, no need for fight :))

  • @AaronzChannel Actually Orkney Ferries do operate a boat from Westray to Papay on a regular basis. The reason that this flight happens, apart from to break a world record, is that every local Island flight outbound from Kirkwall operates from Kirkwall airport to one island, then to another, then back to Kirkwall. So this flight is performed Kirkwall - Papa Westray - Westray - Kirkwall. The same is true with the other Orkney Island flights. Hope this helps =)

  • Did this flight (Papa Westray - Westray) in reality a couple of days ago on a visit to Orkney and the flight time was 1 minute 45 seconds all together. Was a fantastic day for flying and I was further rewarded with a seat next to the captain on the flight back to Kirkwall (Orkney's main airport). If you do this flight you also get a certificate and a free miniature bottle of the local whisky! Well worth the £39 round trip fare! I highly recommend this!

  • i think u need a lot of fuel to do that route

  • I did this with Concorde... Ended badly though

  • @FightingFalc0n, yeah you're right. Guess I'm thinking about not using brakes. The grass runway we have here is 4000ft long never have to use brakes with a 172.

I think I was just thinking backwards though. whoops.

  • im gonna fly it with the A380 lol

  • lol good vid, just remember, the trick of "low and slow" ;)

  • There isn't that much obesity in Scotland ass hole... What a stupid comment from an American LOL. you probably can't even point to Scotland on a map you stupid ignorant chubby ass holes.. And FYI it operates around many islands around the outer Hebrides, a very VERY sparsely populated area unlike the south. A lot of these islands were nuclear test zones.. The flights obviously land at more than one airport per trip idiots.

  • dirt strips should slow the aircraft down faster on landing. Maybe that's just an FSX thing that you find it doesn't stop quickly. Also, you should be pulling back on the stick as you break to reduce the wear on the nose and keep more weight on the braking wheels and full flap landing on soft fields (maybe you have that, hard to tell if they're full) and start to bring the flaps up just before you start you braking, that will decrease lift and increase friction.

  • Why not do it in a helicopter?

  • the flight is operated by Scottish airline Loganair and uses Britain Norman BN2 Islander to go on that flight! the airport that you first toke off from actually has one or two runway wich is a short dirt runway!

  • Good money making flight that one.. MIN FUEL = MAX PAYLOAD!!

  • this is part of the reason why there's so much obesity now a days! xD

  • Faaa Airport in Tahiti To Temae in Moorea is around the same length I think.

  • pronounced "pa-pa" like the other word for father :-)

    nice vid

  • wats this game called

  • @latinomusico1 Microsoft Flight Simulator X

  • the cessna caraan has reverse thrust so use the to slow down quicker

  • @TheTGGuy13 true and it can hold quite a bit of people as well. also it has the speed brakes

  • how do i change the fuel to very low'??

  • your videos are 5 stars man thanx for uploading them!!!!!

  • I've flown shorter legs in a Twin Otter.

  • hey Cessna154, i was wondering whats a good altitude to enter final(for landing).

    thanks.

  • @airsoftman6481 it is recommended to perform the traffic pattern 1000 ft AGL. When in downwind leg, and after you've passed the middle of the runway, configure the airplane to begin a descent at approach speed, when in base decide if you are approaching at a good altitude, too low or too high, so you can take corrective measures, such as adding or removing power, or adding flaps. When in final just try to mantain the plane centered with the runway and keep a smooth descent, use power if needed.

  • how bout EGLL-EGLC? i tried that, its so short.all u do is takeoff stay at 1,000 feet decend and ur done. already ined up with the runway when u takeoff

  • @Cathaydude why would anyone fly heathrow to gatwick?

  • @MONKx7000 EGLL is heathrow. EGLC is london city airport. maybe u got that wrong

  • @Cathaydude yeah well ok, but why would anyone fly heatrow to london city?

  • @MONKx7000 explore the views in london, cause u r at a low altitude

  • take a boat.

  • i watched the vid and the reason you cant take a boat is that between these islands the water is dangerous and unpredictable. also the flights are subsidised by the government so you can take the trip for a few pounds. a boat is much more expensive and dangerous basically.

  • I live 26 miles from Orkney :)

  • @KMM747

    so

  • You might ought to learn how to use your trim! Maximum elevator deflection is not condusive to smooth landings!

  • I'd recommend Horizon VFR's UK Photographic Scenery. This adds the missing cliffs towards the two above airports.

  • i would say the reason is the aircraft they use probably consumes less fuel then a ferry.

  • @ashermamen234 cliffs

  • how do u apply the brrakes

  • @trapatonis Ctrl (.) or Shift (.)

  • reverse thrust?

  • @Soxfan72295 on a prop?

  • @landmark425 Some props do have the feature.

  • @landmark425 is call ground idle, or grounding

  • Why was this Video so short...?

If anyone do these flights in a Jet (No VTOL).....I would like to see that ..

  • Hi um could you do this flight in a Mustang P-D15?

  • It is pronounced Papa Westray

    you make great vids

    rugeley123

  • in reality, the runway is acctually the Beach :D i know, ive been there.

  • Why not swim across there is not to much. =)

  • how do you set up the flight path, plz help!

  • @iAirsoft69 ill make a vid for you, just message me

  • @smarty5692 that would be great, i will sub, thx

  • @iAirsoft69 np, ima work on it once i finish my so few messages XD

  • is there a way toget rid of the friday harbor default when u fisrt start the game

  • @huey187 whats that?

  • DO A BARREL ROLL!!!

  • but this aircrafthas reverse thrust

  • Can u do a video of a B747 instead of the cessna caravan? LOL

  • "If anyone says this is too long of a flight to make, than i think your being uuh stupid" LMAO!! great quote!!

  • @wtfizzjus :D

  • Cessna, dont you use fraps for recording? plus how do you render your video in HD, ive tried it before but it turned out blurry.........

  • I Did it in a Cessna C172SP Skyhawk with 99% Fuel Default payload

  • The reason why this flight is needed, is it is a lifeline for the residents, the roads are horrible( I have been there before), and it's just an easy way to get from A to B. The reason why they don't take boats, is A) Large Capacity boats are slow, and B) The sea conditions are very unpredictable! There is even a tide crossing near the island that makes sailing there very difficult!

  • loganair (or british airways regional airline) flies this run in the twin otter (DHC-6-300). I love doing this run with Aerosoft's twotter in BA livery. Lotta fun!

  • Well obviously this guy seems to be an fsx hater because of either like XP9 or hating Microsoft, either way his computer's proccesor six and can't load fsx for crap!

  • fly a britrten norman islander 2 into the strips, it is what they use in real-life

  • Do a space shuttle style landing.

  • Hey cessna 154 i just found an alternative flight sim called pro flight sim. It has 300+ aicraft to choose from and scenery from google earth. i really recomend it. it's available at

  • try willow run to detroit metro.....or willow run to ann arbor mun

  • Lol cessna "If anyone thinks this is too long to fly, then you're just being stupid"

  • lol im from scotland

  • Very nice YouTube clip, I enjoyed it. And I'd like to know how you generate the recording also?

I'll check out EGEW & EGET, and fly it, and I'll set the weather to cloudy and windy on Lvieru96's advice.

Just one other comment, the plural of "aircraft," is "aircraft," with no "s." The only usage of the word aircraft with the letter "s" appended, would be to convey possession, in which case an apostrophe would be used to differentiate. i. e.: 'The aircraft's dry weight is 4,570 pounds.'

  • @Lvieru96

Scotland isnt as bad as you think for weather! :D

  • hahaha true

  • im from scotland and i dident know this flight exest

  • check out MKTP-MKJP

  • cause the plane is better

  • because its scotland and the waves are a nightmare and dangerous!

  • I've been on that flight. Cost me 25 pounds!

  • @brucearthurduncan Does anyone know at what is the cruising alt for the Airbus 321 is? I'm simming from Naples to St Maartens. My heading is 265. My current crusining alt is 30 000. NM to destination - just under 2000.

  • a waste

  • Hey what resolution do you play at? :)

  • can u make a video of a glider going from EGEW to EGEP because it is kinda difficult

  • They dont take a boat as the flight is actually from Kirkwall, the main town in Orkney. It stops in both Westray and Papa Westray. Flew this for real in a Cessna 182 last week. Scenery is total crap.

  • I mean the FS scenery is crap (like you pronounciation - thats US English for you. Actual scenery is incredible.

  • You can't take a boat or those waters in real life as it is very rough in those areas, don;t think much of the scenery on the game place lol :-P

    Btw i'm in scotland

  • plane is quicker

  • wow, why wouldnt you just take a boat, geeze.

  • no the shortest is from dubai to sharjah it only less than 1min not this one

  • For very good scotland scenary try Scotflight Scenery. It re-does all of the scotish isles with cliffs and perfect coastline

  • whats your computer specs?

  • check his utube page

  • Hey can someone please answer my question, why is it taking so long to take off in my 747, Im taking up the whole area 51 run way and im getting air at around 200 mph, is that normal?

  • check your flap settings

  • set flaps to 5 and i think the take off speed for a boeing 747 is around 160/165 knts

  • what is the weight of the aircraft?

  • lol tht was funny.

flight time varies from 4 minutes or half of that depending on the runway lol

  • Hello. I live in the highlands of Scotland and I have actually been on that flight run. The reason people take it is because its a lot faster than the boat! (which also exists). By the way it's Papa as in your dad, and pronounced west-ray (like stingray) All the best.

  • i heard there selling tickets from LA X to burbank! and SF to oakland

  • an A380 is good for that flight lol

  • haha lol

  • yeah..

i wonder if a A340-300 underpowered the way it is should take off and land fully loaded jUST fine

  • thanks ill try that....

  • Cess154....uhm....when i installed sp1.....it was cool...the game was faster..but then sumthing happened...the default 747 wings dnt properly flex..most planes and helicopters windows are missing and theres sum parts missing on the wings when im at vc....and sum other stuff i cant xplain...so do you know wats d prob...?...already went to fsinder....well i got nothing...

  • hey i have almost the same roblem with my fs2002 everythings is gone on my plane i can only see the pilots and everything lags and i can see nothing

  • well i dnt have the lags but the default fsx planes are really screwed..And theres no more windows!!..i guess thats the problem with a special package....well it heightened up my performance....nowadays i can do almost 40 fps

  • what do u use to film?

  • he uses fraps

  • Sorry I forgot to mention That I'm using FSX :o)

  • Listen up guys :o) I'm a bit of a novice however you will al love this flight. France - Nice/Coted'Azur (LFMN) to Switzerland Sion (LSGS).. make sure you do it in a Cessna C1725p Skyhawk as I did...OMFG Not only do you get some amazing views of the Swiss Alps, but the challenge of getting your little plane over them is also top notch. I just landed and I literally had to fly through gaps in the mountains. try it.. it's a must, make sure turbulance ect is on as that is the challenge. Enjoy :o)

  • Cessna witch do you like better spot or locked spot? I like locked spot better.

  • you havent posted the first serios of the airport directory yet?

  • is flight simulator x an add on pack cause i have fs 2004

  • no its a whole different game

  • It's nice to do this flight in the C152 on IVAO.

  • Cessna154, what kind of video recorder do you use?? Oh and is it free???

  • It's called fraps and it costs $30

  • I made the flight with a Douglas DC-10

  • Isn't SABA shorter???

  • hes talking about a flight. SABA is the shortest runway (people say) but not the shortest commercial flight

  • you said the reason for not taking a bot in the video. You said that in the RL there are cliffs around the island.

  • yes hey siad that but these scenery are basic....if you want too have cliffs etc. you can download a add-on

  • I think the Boat is much more expensive

  • do u need nav lights in the day? jst asking, and also ur channel is becoming rele kool, no joke

  • Yes

  • Well...why not take a helicopter across!?,I made the flight on a helicopter ....check out my response..u will see it is much faster and easier.

  • And I thought YPAD to YPPF was short

  • We-Don't-Care.

    It's not gonna work

  • did you use beta its like t/r's(thrust revesers)

  • The time to park, get through the secruity gate then wait at the terminal will be longer than just swimming across.

  • It has reverse thrust. You need to trim your airplane.

  • nice video

  • You should fly with a sailplane lol.

Tip for all of you trying this flight: When you're on final approach, set the throttle to idle and rase down the flaps slowly to 30 degrees. It is like an emergency landing, but it works. And, there are countries in which you land normally like an emergency landing.

  • u have lagggggg for some reason which is unusual 4 u

    but gr8 vid

  • could you please SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!

he's not the most perfect guy in the world,it's a simulator..

  • why dont you just take a boat across

    well, i dont know

    xd

  • Just swim across.

  • I guess because you are going quite fast in the air it seems very quick. It could take 10-15 minutes by boat (but I am no boat expert) but because your going so fast its only 2-3 minutes.

  • Its is operated by flybe!

  • cool

  • Kind of stupid waste of fuel, also Steve on that new Flight Simulator from Aerosoft do you know if the graphics are going to be at the level of Flight Simulator X?

  • too, long <---------- IM STUPID!!!

  • maybe people are lazy and dont want to do that

  • wao it's really short...

also one more question for cessna 154

have you ever finish the time trial red bull air race mission?

can you post a video of you doing that?

  • UHHGGG ITS TOOO LONG OF A FLIGHT!

  • And you said why don't they use boats? Its a flight simulator game. ERR!

  • I hope your joking because that's the dumbest comment i've seen ever.
