And being a armchair critic about such things isnt getting us anywhere.

And saying "I could have shat a better design" first of all isnt true. and second its because we're british. therefore we are always waiting for a dig, or a snipe at anything that we do.

Well for 1 thing the 4000000 wasnt just paying for the sign, it was for the whole vision, and campaign too.

But like i said, i really dont like people saying that "i could do better".

because that really isnt doing much.

But i agree i thought the sign that sort of looked like

where the 2 looked like a L

and the 12 looked like a N.

was one of the better competitors.

But i do agree that that money should have been spend on a neon sign the size of Greenwich. with glowsticks.

and i repeat...as i have done to many people at work and around the place whenever they complain about the logo.

400,000 for what they did though you might not like the logo, and we really dont hear too much from those who like the logo, personally it looks fine, as good as the 2004 logo, and perhaps even the 2008 (though i cant remember that logo).

And also that 400,000 covered all the adverts, and overall, we have the olympics, the logo should be the least of out worrys.

The logo is a symbol of the event, anybody going anywhere in London will look for this symbol and regard it as the event itself. Now if we have something like this then even foreign competitors will look it up and laugh at it - "ha! Nice one, they should've paid me to do the advertising!"
