*sigh*....Your title is wrong. They are not silencing free speech. These are the ones who were not issued a permit to protest. They were told to move, and they refused. The supreme court ruled that issuing permits to protest is constitutional. So whats the problem here?

google denied protest permits and you will get 3,200,000 hits. They can deny you a permit just because they feel like it and don't have to give a reason. only 2 out of 13 permits were granted. Atlanta denied a tea party protest earlier this year just because they didn't feel like they needed one. Its unconstitutional no matter what the supreme court ruled.

They would be just fine. It would be just like it was when we didn't need permits to protest. Look permits don't stop anarchists they will show up werever they want. This only hurts law abiding citizens. We managed just fine in the 70's and protests back then makes the protests of today look like childs play.

Well i do have to agree with you now about the protests in the 60's. I understand where you and vera are coming from but the law is the law. Small groups of Anarchists are not going to help change that fact only make people think that its right. I like to consider myself a Gadsden I have the flag outside the house. I consider it more important a symbol of American Liberty, and Freedom than the Countries Flag but I mean seriously.....Anarchists? If we want real change then we need real action.

Pitsburg wasn't even going to allow any permits they had to be taken to court just to get permits. What if the Supreme Court ruled against gun ownership. What if the supreme court ruled that the UN constitution over ruled our own. If the supreme court goes against the constitution the law is void.

The Supreme Courts duty is to interpret the Constitution to the Law. So I doubt that would ever happen. If they did say the UN Constitution over ruled our own we wouldnt have a Supreme Court any longer would we? Also they weren't going to issue them a permit to use the park not one to protest. Why because the Police are using it so simply put they just couldnt.
