That's another thing, the game became too much about getting super powered equipment, so much in fact that Nexon kept coming up with items, and mechanics especially for upgrading items.. It kind of makes me sick to think of how many people are buying into that crap and spending so much of their real money on it.
I think I know why Maple lets them get OP. It might be because if the Black Magician is released, no one will be able to defeat him. So they need fucking op players.

You can reach level 70 in two weeks if you're dedicated. 2 WEEKS!

A lot of times I want to play maple again. But in my opinion, it just isn't there anymore. I've tried to give the new maple a chance but it just isn't fun. It's frustrating because it feels like MS is there but that it's gone too.
From the first time I played (2006, early in the summer) to the end (Big Bang or maybe even earlier) I loved MS and I'd wish I could relive those days(Also because my real life's a lot harder now than when played maple).

I've been playing the 'new' maple for a week now, been making a battle mage, levelled it up to 70 within 2 days(without leech, without 2 exp... seriously nexon?). The char is fun, but got really boring. If I don't miss on an enemy, I kill it with 1 or 2 hits. Same with bosses, They die within seconds now.

Nowdays, I see noob guilds(Espanol? Br?)beat up the hardest bosses in the game. And the only reward for being the best is just a higher damage output then other characters. It's a shame. But ah well.

Old Pros were the best, joined the guild DarkJutsu in Bellocan when they were ranked #1 and the pros helped me out whenever. Miss exploring new lands like orbis and aqua road with my buddies. encountering new monstors, and seeing if we could take them on. Miss the old noob training grounds, Miss PQ's, KPQ, LPQ, LMPQ, Those were the best ways to meet new friends. Cuz if you didn't have AC or Track, and missed, you were stuck talking to each other. Noob wasnt about damage, but PQ skills LOL.

I bet nobody of the original maplestory players (from 2003-2007) plays maple anymore. There's no point in lvling fast if others do too. And with everybody lvl 120+, there's no satisfaction when you reach that level, let alone when you're lower.

@aidanocipe Making a new character won't solve the issue. There're SO many players of all classes that already reached the "top". There isn't a way to distinguish yourself from them, taking away all the fun already. Another thing "fast lvling" causes is not socialising anymore; training is easy enough to do it on your own anyways.

Rip old MapleStory.... Most things changed when Big Bang hit, EXP rates were higher, EXP bars were lower, MapleStory is turning sideways. MapleStory before Big Bang was harder, funner, and friendlier. More challenging, but now... it's just like a private server. Who thinks MapleStory should create a new server, but with lower versions? Resistance, Evan, Dual Blade, Mercedes, Demon Slayers, Cannon Shooter, Aran, Wild Hunter, Battle Mage, they just keep making new ones, just for more players.

I've been playing the 'new' maple for a week now, been making a battle mage, levelled it up to 70 within 2 days(without leech, without 2 exp... seriously nexon?). The char is fun, but got really boring. If I don't miss on an enemy, I kill it with 1 or 2 hits. Same with bosses, They die within seconds now.

I know there are new bosses, some even harder and the like, chaos zakum seducing people etc etc. But.. It just feels different. It's not the same anymore. Nowadays everyone can do every boss, unlike the old days, when only a few guilds were priveliged to kill Zakum. Maybe unfair, but those were the guilds who actually tried being the best. Nowadays, there is just little rewards for being the best. but ah well. RIP maple <3

Nowdays, I see noob guilds(Espanol? Br?)beat up the hardest bosses in the game. And the only reward for being the best is just a higher damage output then other characters. It's a shame. But ah well.

Old Pros were the best, joined the guild DarkJutsu in Bellocan when they were ranked #1 and the pros helped me out whenever. Miss exploring new lands like orbis and aqua road with my buddies. encountering new monstors, and seeing if we could take them on. Miss the old noob training grounds, Miss PQ's, KPQ, LPQ, LMPQ, Those were the best ways to meet new friends. Cuz if you didn't have AC or Track, and missed, you were stuck talking to each other. Noob wasnt about damage, but PQ skills LOL.

I bet nobody of the original maplestory players (from 2003-2007) plays maple anymore. There's no point in lvling fast if others do too. And with everybody lvl 120+, there's no satisfaction when you reach that level, let alone when you're lower.
This is just like a private server. I think they should make a server with all of the original things. Thumbs up if you agree!

@aidanocipe Making a new character won't solve the issue. There're SO many players of all classes that already reached the "top". There isn't a way to distinguish yourself from them, taking away all the fun already. Another thing "fast lvling" causes is not socialising anymore; training is easy enough to do it on your own anyways.
I'm sorry but in my opinion, everybody who plays MS now are the people who would give up if they were playin old MS because lvling was to hard for them.

Rip old MapleStory.... Most things changed when Big Bang hit, EXP rates were higher, EXP bars were lower, MapleStory is turning sideways. MapleStory before Big Bang was harder, funner, and friendlier. More challenging, but now... it's just like a private server. Who thinks MapleStory should create a new server, but with lower versions? Resistance, Evan, Dual Blade, Mercedes, Demon Slayers, Cannon Shooter, Aran, Wild Hunter, Battle Mage, they just keep making new ones, just for more players.
