You're mistaking Sengoku Musou/Samurai Warriors with Sengoku Basara/Devil Kings. Different game companies, different fighting styles for the guys.

@hiddeneaf404 I don't think so... the character design in SW is much more detailed and symbolic, and personalities/representation are a bit more accurate to the historical personality... SB is more "anime" style, perhaps "cooler" but not better...

I disagree, in 1 it was to show a youthful boy, hence the Bokken he used (which really should have3b een given to Musashi...) the gun and rapier are to show a more mature Masamune which they pull of quite well.

He was given the Saber because he had a love of western culture.  Look his history up. It's great and makes the game more understandable.
