I didn't know the stimulus package barred international trading, how silly is that? I thought the US was all for international trade, why have an international monetray fund if they think otherwise? A bit like the UK. Why join Europe if you think otherwise? I often get the impression that we (the UK) like to have our cake and eat it, which often makes me lack sympathy.
Those protests are still going on as far as I am aware, last I heard they were all fired after taking an unofficial strike...
