Donating is great but just an FYI it helps a lot more if you donate to a smaller org such as Bayan USA because Red Cross deals more with the government and half the time all the money doesn't completely go to the victims because of all the legalities with tax and money in general. sad news in the philippines, actually had a kuya that lives in marikina city, which was one of the provinces that got hit by ondoy, luckily he wasn't harmed. I watch the news everyday on TFC covering the bagyo, actually there's another one that's going to hit, Bagyong Pepe. To all the pinoys/pinays with families back home, keep your heads up and always keep in contact with them.. it's good to see even though through this tragedy, you still see our families back home smiling.

i just saw pictures that were emailed to my mom (by my uncle) of what the 1st floor of my old house (philippines) right now looks like and i was just shocked...

my dad, my brother, grandma and other relatives lives there and our house got affected. The flood was higher than a person and now, the ground floor is covered with mud and most of the things r wrecked...
