I know this video inspired me to write president Obama!(and all my elected officials) I think that it would be more impactful if people each wrote their own as when you put your self into it is when it speaks the most. :-)

Tommy, thanks again for all your dedication and hard work. Writing to politicians does have impact - but it takes thousands of letters. Sadly most politicians will weigh how many letters they have received on a topic rather than reading them, but every letter counts - even if you don't get a reply.
