  • a bit fast; and watch out for that piano the second time you do that intro

    but you're pretty good :D

  • It's a little faster than expected. Despite this, the player has a very high technical virtuosity

  • this is what people call a "piano playing machine".

  • Sounds like a Pianola out of Controla.

Pretty solid, but it really IS soulless, and of course it's INCOMPLETE..

  • many of yopu are critisating him for playing to fast and not playing with enough fealings, but if you have heard how Grieg playes it himself ( there are recordings of him playing it here on youtube), you will se that he too plays it in that tempo. i think it was great :)

  • Grieg played at that speed to get the piece on to the 4 minute recording capacity of the cylindrical records of the time. He unfortunately died before the invention of the 78rpm.

  • Absolutely souless!!

  • WOW! I'm learning how to play this song but now I know what it sounds like now! Very nice!

  • wow! you're really fast! and pretty accurate too!

but it sounded terrible because you put little or no expression whatsoever in the piece(hint:l-y-r-i-c pieces, and it was written in the r-o-m-a-n-t-i-c period). its not just about plunking keys down. and why the headlong rush? did you have to go to the toilet?and what happened to the middle section? and in the end, fyi, ppp means very soft, not very loud. im sorry if my comment is harsh but you would do better in baroque

  • If you listen closely, you can hear Maestro Grieg rolling over in his grave (yes, I know he was cremated).

  • I can't read notes, thats obvious in many of the left hand arppegiations, he doesn't even ATTEMPT to hit the right notes. And he can't read rythyms, which is obvious during hand alternating parts forming 16 note patterns, he puts his hands together so they form easy square 8th notes.

  • You're playing many parts wrong. MANY, parts wrong . . .

  • Haha wondeful job once again. :)

  • Have you heard Grieg's recording of the piece? if not, i recommend you do so.

  • WOW a great "Presto" version of this piece!

  • very hight speed ...easy man,easy,but very good work ;}

  • Hmmz. I disagree that the speed ruins the piece. The ending should if anything be played faster... It helps to play the correct notes though, which he definately doesn't. Check out the passage at 1:29 for one of many examples. If you want a reason for my comments about speed, then 1) Listen to Grieg's version and 2) Listen to Einar Steen Nokleberg playing it (if you can find the recording)

  • Great articulation! This is an extremely hard piece to play. Fantastic Work!!!!! ^_^

  • Well....you are clever....but dont play that fast. Your speed ruins the piece totally; maybe this was a speedplaying contest??

  • jajajaja

  • well done--- screw anyway that says crap about it you know it's good and that's what counts....... biaches

  • This chap was probably too nervous to play in front of a crowd and that's why he played it too fast.He looks like a teenager to me and at that age it can be quite nerv-recking to perform for your peers.

  • My god, you ruined the piece by playing it way to fast. Such a shame. Plus the fact that when you play it that fast, you make loads of unnecessary mistakes. And you can't keep the pace up at the parts which are actually meant to be played fast. You might have (most of) the notes right, but you show absolutely no emotion at all when playing.

  • Excellent technique, but where did the dynamics go? Also, there are quite a few reading errors. You should play it over slowly whilst checking the score.

  • This is rubbish, he is capable of playing the notes, but its really not artistic at all!! No distincion between f and p, theres none musicality in this piece! Sorry to say but his "style" sucks. IMHO

  • Who freakin' cares if it's too fast?! This guy can PLAY!

  • this piece isn't far off the perfect tempo. the best version or interpretation i have heard was leif ove andsnes and this "pianist" plays a little bit faster than leif admittedly but not too much faster.

  • Too Fast. Its march .

  • His style :D

  • Bad style...for this piece;)

  • yea i'd have to agree with panyawut
